He had been searching for Chris for a year and had not been able to turn up anything about Chris. Torey meets up with his old friend Ali, and tries to find Chris. Chris's mom was most likely to blame for his disappearance. Torey then begins  to look for Chris and knocks a boulder loose and it tumbles on his leg. He then gets an email from a person called Victor Adams which is Chris's new alias who now lives with his aunts. I really do not like to read but overall i thought the book was pretty good because of the dialogue between characters.  I like dialogue more than just reading a normal book. This piece of dialogue really drew me into the book "Y'all're a bad influence on me. See how I'm gossiping? Every morning I make a deal with myself that I'm not going to talk evil about people.
