I feel like Abigail is non-redeemable because of the severity of

her crimes. She tried to kill Goody Proctor, and had many people jailed

and hung in the the process. She cannot be forgiven for the malicious intenand in a way, murder that she commited.

No, Abigail’s action’s are not redeemable because she has lied, murdered people, and is a selfish girl. Abigail lies about the citizens of the town being witches just so she won’t get in trouble for dancing in the woods immorally. She wishes death to John Proctor’s wife because Abigail is in love with John and she wants him all to herself. She continues to lie and manipulate her way around the court just to get herself out of trouble, making herself not redeemable.

As it says in Romans,” Whoever shall call upon the name of the Lord will be saved”, and Abigail Williams is no exception to this rule. Although her actions against the Proctor family and the community have been only backed by vengeful motivation, and the townspeople may never forgive her if the truth is ever known, the Lord shall always forgive wayward sinners.

Abigail, in order to protect herself from being punished for dancing in the woods, instigates the Salem witch trials by giving false confessions. Her vengeful and malicious behavior of accusing those in the town of witchcraft has caused an uproar. In addition, there have been multiple hangings and imprisonments related to accusations. It is far too late for redemption due to the severity of her actions. Even if she were to confess to lying and accusing innocent people of witchcraft in order to save herself, the damage of her selfish actions have caused cannot be taken back and neither can the lives that were taken.

I believe Abigail is redeemable in a way. She accused people of witchcraft when she did not have any evidence to prove that what she said was true. Abigail needs to apologize and ask for forgiveness and then everything will be alright for her.
