Transitioning to clean energy is without a doubt an amazing goal, but it is important to understand the economic disruption this may cause as a result of certain regions being heavily reliant on fossil fuel jobs. Spending vast amounts on clean energy infrastructure warrant the question of whether a full transition to renewables is possible, given the limitations that exist in energy storage and transmission. It begs the question that maybe the private sector is better off spearheading this change, with less government involvement.

Reforms revolving around the judicial system and public safety face criticism, with the belief that reduced incarceration will lead to rising crime. Those against argue the fact that placing limits on law enforcement authority leaves communities more vulnerable, especially in areas where crime is already rampant. It furthermore begs the question if assistance teams can effectively respond and de-escalate dangerous situations. In regards to national standards, it can be seen as a federal overreach with the belief that each state should handle their own first responders, to include police specifically. Overall, it is said to pose a vulnerability to public safety.

All of what is mentioned regarding fixing the system comes with the thought that this presents legal and constitutional barriers. It involves getting all the states involved, creating a logistical nightmare because each state has different laws and political interests. It also brings up the debate of whether the term limits can unintentionally empower those who work behind the scenes - such as staff members and lobbyists due to the fact that those in office do not manage to gain deep experience because of the limits placed on their ability to serve. It begs the question of just how polarization and media influence, and even voter enthusiasm can shift power.
