Something that calms me

Watching movies is something that helps me relax, while also providing me with good entertainment. It doesn't really matter if its good or bad to me because I can always find some way to like it. One of my favorite directors is Sofia Coppola. And, my favorite movies of hers are the Virgin Suicides and Marie Antoinette.

Something I'm afraid of

I don't know why, but I've never liked frogs. Maybe its their eyes or because they're slimy. Or because some of them are poisonous. But, ever since I was young I've never liked frogs. And, whenever I was near one I would become squeamish.

Motivation

My current motivation is passing all of my classes this semester, so I can fulfill my transfer requirements. My current goal is to transfer to UC Davis next fall.

Over the last 3-5 years, I've really gotten into fashion and exploring my own personal style. It's a really fun thing for me to do because it allows me to experiment and learn more about my personal tastes. Personally, I think of this like I'm a character in the dress up games that I liked playing when I was younger. Creating my own outfits is very therapeutic and fun. Another thing I've gotten more into is thrifting because I feel like there's something special with vintage clothes. Designs that were made 15-20 years ago are fun and vibrant. Not to say that minimalism is bad, but I feel like today it's become harder to find unique clothes when every other retailer is trying to copy each other because of fast trend cycles. But, thrifting makes getting into fashion more fun because you have to find the unique pieces.

Identity

Laufey is currently one of my favorite artists. And, I feel like many of her songs are relatable because they mention themes of nostalgia, growing up, a desire to escape and self acceptance. I've dealt with similiar experiences as well. And, her music inspires me to do better so I can make my younger self happy. My favorite song off her new album is Snow White. And, I recommend that everyone should listen to at least one of her songs because of the messaging behind it.

Wish/Bucket List

My biggest wish or bucket list is idea is to travel more. For most of my life, I never traveled outside of the US except for yearly family vacations to Mexico. I've only visited two other countries in the last 2 years which were Spain and Vietnam. Both countries are beautiful, and seeing life outside of the US made me realize that I want to learn and see more of the world as I grow older. Another wish I have that is similiar is potentially living abroad. If I have the chance, I'd want to live in another country before I'm 30, just so I can experience what it's like being away from home and in a new environment. The places that I really want to visit are The Netherlands, Sweden, Italy, Switzerland, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Thailand, China, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand.
