He has served as president of the North Brevard branch of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) and remains actively involved with Save African American Boys and the Sons of Allen of the African Methodist Episcopal (AME) Church. Professionally, Glenn Dames leads as senior pastor of the Allen Temple AME Church, the flagship church of the AME West Coast Conference in Florida. Glenn Dames comes to Allen Temple Church with more than 25 years of experience as a pastor. He is known for his dedicated efforts to beautify his churches and strengthen his congregations through youth programs, media outreach, and community efforts. A humble servant of all, Rev. Dr. Dames has maintained a strong presence in local hospitals, schools, homes, and city and county government gathering places. Rev. Dr. Dames comes to his work as a graduate of the United Theological Seminary, where he earned his doctor of ministry.
