The job of a principal this year has been one of the hardest jobs I can imagine. There are really no words to fully describe everything that you have had to manage and lead through on the daily. Society has asked you to make school happen regardless of whether the people you need, the structures you need, or the tools you need are there. And yet, you have led. You have balanced creative solutions and grit to keep safety and care for the whole person and the opportunity for in-person learning to happen all front and center. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. We (AF and society at large) cannot thank you enough for all you have done and all of you have given this year.

Feeling deep gratitude for the work you are doing and have been doing for so long - to lead the Enrichment programs at EBHS. Morgan is saying it all for me right now -- when I think about your leadership of EBHS, I'm left in awe. Martin, this year is hard af. Period.com. You've had to navigate every adaptive challenge under the sun and yet, you show up everyday with love and light. Let's start with light -- Sir, our check-ins are the best part of my week. You are so honest and real and funny. I appreciate that we can just be us -- we can say the things AND still work in partnership to get the work done. You bring this same light to your team and to the kids. You keep it real real -- vulnerability breeds trust and if one thing is true, your people and your kids trust you, which sets the stage for strong relationship, community and partnership. Now on to love -- You do this work for our kids...every last one of them...from Hakeem to Jo Jo...EVERY KID. You ensure that they feel seen. You ensure they know and feel like they belong. Your bar is unwavering. Showing love is both care and demand and you do both so well -- for students, families, and staff. You have deep belief in what's possible and that's why EBHS is such a good place for our kids. You may not always feel like it but you are a part of shifting outcomes and trajectories for our most vulnerable kids and you do it with deep belief and deep love. This matters!!! Thank you for being you! Thank you for making what seems impossible possible. Thank you for working your tail off to keep the trains on the tracks -- the creativity, the problem-solving, the 3rd, 4th, and 5th way. Thanks for the seen and unseen. Wooo! Of my 17 years in education, I have to say that this year is in the top three as most challenging (a close contender with my first (and second) year of teaching). And yet, you all collectively and consistently put your best foot forward to create a warm, welcoming, and rigorous academic experience for our kids. That is no easy feat especially given some of the staffing challenges but you all are doing it, doing it well, and doing it as a team. You're coaching, teaching classes, planning j-factor, leaning in with teachers, supporting ALL kids, and still managing to consistently come together for learning, growth, and development. You're problem-solving and thinking creatively. You're nimble and do whatever it takes. You go hard for the team and you go hard for the kids -- this I appreciate about you all and more. One week cannot stress the level of admiration and gratitude I have for this team. There's nothing impossible -- you are getting the work done! Thank you!!!

Hey man, the History team would serious like to thank you for all of your efforts at East Brooklyn High School. This has no doubt been a difficult time in the world of education and you are doing an excellent jo making certain history teachers feel supported, and bringing great passion and enthusiasm to your community.
