Hello Ma'am Berame!

Storytelling sa ko, as someone who didn't graduate from SU Elem, Going into SUJHS for the first time ever got me very nervous, I had my interview first in the morning. You probably don't remember na Ma'am but you were the first face who greeted me during the interview. I thought you were going to be strict but you were the total opposite. Your presence itself was calming and you made me feel at home and at that moment I was really grateful for someone to ease my anxiety.

Grade 9 comes and even if our section was rowdy at times, thank you so much for trying your best to instill in us the values and principles that we, until today, carry. That is one of the things I hold you deeply in my heart for :)

What I'll always remember about you is your soft and gentle voice during classes. Even if the class was noisy at times, you were always patient & understanding. This trait of yours ma'am (as I reflect on it) has helped me deal with difficult people & situations as I went to college. Needless to say, you have influenced a lot of your students to be like you are, gentle and kind :)

Salamat kaau sa tanan nga knowledge and wisdom na imoha nahatag not only to me but to the other students as well. I know na I was not a very obedient student in your class sauna but I would like to that you for your never ending understanding sa amoa section sauna ma'am. You were always so kind and genuine to each student sa amoa sauna and I know that you have helped a lot of students with their problems. Ma'aaam, I am so thankful that I got to be your student. Learning about God through you was truly one of the highlights of my Junior High School life and I will never forget it. Your classroom always had a welcoming feeling, and I'm sure it was because you were the one taking care of it. Hi, ma'am!! I don't know if you still remember me but for sure, I remember you. I was under you sauna sa Grade 9, around 2015-2016, Silang. Anyway, you're one of the most calm teachers I ever had until now hehe also, not only did you instill in our hearts the lessons in our CLVE class, but you also put in our minds and hearts, the true value of living, which is to appreciate one another, and to be grateful despite everything. I admit, I wasn't the most quiet student in class, but that was my way to express how I wanted to participate in your class. Thank you for all the lessons, for the experience, for the opportunity to be your student, ma'am. I'll never forget everything, and your lessons will always remain in my heart and mind as I journey on in this life. Continue to fight, ma'am. You've always been a fighter and fighters never give up. One thing that I will always remember about you is how patient you are to us na imo students. Even though langas jud kaayo amo section before but at the end of the day or pagka'ugma kay you greet us with a smile lang gihapon. to the most resilient CLVE teacher, know ma'am na we really do appreciate what you have done for us 5 years ago. I remember jud na langas kaayo amo section to the point na ni walk out ka but AMAZING how you still have the passion to teach us about Christ every meeting! You are so kind pa jud. Hi Ma'am!

There probably isn't much I could say that hasn't already been said by everyone else, but I still just want you to know how grateful I am for having been your student, ma'am. I've had many teachers in my life, but there are only a few who I could honestly say cared for me and wanted to genuinely help me learn - and one of those teachers is you, ma'am.

As I try and look back at my happiest moments being your student, there are many that come to mind, but the instances in which I really felt the love you had for us were the ones when I'd approach you in the middle of doing a book activity and ask you questions on how to do it, because I sometimes couldn't understand the lessons and have to ask for help. Even in those situations ma'am, with the rowdiness of our section in the background coupled with the slowly forming a line of students to ask you questions as well, you never failed to show your true character of a patient, caring, and loving woman.

I could never understand why you never got mad at us, why you never yelled, or expressed your exhaustion at teaching such a loud class - we deserved it after all. But then I'd come to realize that it was precisely because we were loud and noisy and rowdy that you didn't want us to see you as an example that shouting and yelling is how to best deal with a situation. You always tried your best to be a good role model for us, and I wish I'd appreciated it more when I was your student.

Even when we'd accidentally fall asleep in class, since it was always our last one of the day, not once did you try to embarrass us, nor make us feel bad about it. You always somehow knew to put yourself in our shoes and allowed us the rest (we didn't always deserve).

Looking at back on these has made me realize that the best lessons you taught weren't in the Bible verses, nor the stories found in our textbooks, but in the person you always tried to be in front of us - strong yet gentle. It was in the way you spoke patiently to every single student even when they'd be asking the same questions; or the way you stood tall and proud in the middle of the room while a couple students were dozing off to the side. You subconsciously ingrained into us the greatest values you taught in CLVE through the person that you are.

Maybe it's because you remind me of my own grandmother ma'am, or because of how soft-spoken, nice, and kind you always are, but you will always be one of my favorite teachers. I hope you know how loved and cherished you are ma'am, and that you will continue to exist in the hearts and minds of many students you've taught and guided through the years.

You will always be in my prayers, ma'am.

Ma'am I am grateful beyond words to have had the honor to be taught by you about faith, but more than teaching us about Christian values, you have taught me the essence of living a life with humility, kindness and compassion- because that is what you radiate, Ma'am. You are so kind and understanding, you remain humble and teach us everyday with compassion. There are not enough thank you's in this world but I hope you know that we are so so so grateful to God for giving us the chance to meet and be taught by you.

Ma'am, I know you are battling a difficult enemy: cancer. But as what you have always taught us, no one is greater and stronger than God. I was under your advisory class and we were the first section you meet everyday back then. Me and the rest of my section, Jacinto, is very sorry for the bad behavior we sometimes show to you early in the morning. We are very sorry for the bad mood that we gave you first thing in your day. I remember there was a time you cried in front of us your students and we are very sorry for that ma'am. We are sorry for our immaturity that time.

Anyways, thank you so much ma'am for being a mother figure to us your students, you are one of a kind. Thank you so much for giving us knowledge and for teaching us values that we still carry on up to this very day.
