Satoshi Nakamoto is the name used by the creator who designed bitcoin and created its original currency Bit Core Their real identity remains unknown. Nakamoto released the first bitcoin software that launched the network called bitcoins. The programmer understood the nature of their currency which is why their identity remains unknown. The bypassing of banks and government is included in the first sentence of their paper. As of 2012, Nakamoto claimed to be a 37-year-old Japanese male. Some speculated he was unlikely to be Japanese due to his perfect use of the English language and the currency not being documented or labelled in Japanese.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gc2en3nHxA4

This is a great video on Bitcoins and how they work.

Mining is a payment system that is used to confirm waiting transactions by including them in the statistics. It enforces an order, protects the neutrality of the network, and allows different computers on the system. To be confirmed, transactions must be packed in a block that fits very strict encrypted rules that will be verified by the network. These rules prevent previous blocks from being modified because doing so would invalidate all following blocks. Mining also creates the equivalent of a competitive lottery that prevents any individual from easily adding new blocks consecutively in the block chain.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GmOzih6I1zs

This short video describes everything I explained in the previous post.
