         <description><![CDATA[<p><strong>Definition:</strong> Web 1.0 refers to the earliest stage of the internet (roughly 1990–2000) where websites were static and primarily used to display information. Users could only read or view content, but had little to no ability to interact with it or contribute. This era was mainly about information sharing from companies or individuals to users, like an online brochure.<br><strong>Key Features:</strong></p><ul><li><p>Static web pages created with HTML</p></li><li><p>Limited interactivity; no user-generated content</p></li><li><p>Information published by few content creators</p></li><li><p>Mostly text-based with simple images</p></li><li><p>Hyperlinks were the main form of navigation<br><strong>Examples:</strong> Yahoo Directory, GeoCities, AOL, early Microsoft website</p></li></ul>]]></description>
