         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Evolution</strong> is the change in inherited characteristics or traits in a population of organisms over many generations. <br><br>Sexual selection: Sexual selection, like natural selection, is a little-appreciated but crucial evolutionary mechanism that moves some genes preferentially into the future. Females who chose showy mates have flashy male offspring, who will be more desirable to females in the future as a result of the genes that encourage the desire.<br><br>Natural selection: Natural selection is the process through which populations of living organisms adapt and change. Natural selection <strong>can lead to speciation</strong>, where one species gives rise to a new and distinctly different species.<br><br><br><br></div>]]></description>
