The fins, which are made out of notecard, actually SLOW (sorry for caps) DOWN the rocket, causing it to drop and accelerate less. The point out of clay, however, cuts through the air and makes the rocket speed and fly through the air for longer distances. When I launches my rocket, I noticed that ones with fins and dull points didn’t make it as far as the ones without the fins and sharp points.
