Geometry is estimates to date back to 3,000 B.C. to the ancient Egyptians. Egyptians used an earlier sense of geometry for many reasons including: constructing pyramids and astronomy. It was because of their pyramids, they later began to extend on their knowledge and create pyramids with four triangular faces and a square base. However, a turning point for understanding geometry occurred when Euclid wrote a text titled" Elements". Then I will hand out a subtraction worksheet to the students with 3 subtraction word problems and 7 subtraction problems that they will have to work on. For example 10-3=? or 23-11?
