45,000 to 12,000 years ago, during the last ice age, glaciers advanced and retreated many times over this area to slough away all the younger or top layers of rock formations. The glaciers melted 12,000 years ago, forming an immense amount of water to create our current rivers.

Something special about Ganga

Our river Ganga has a unique factor called the "Mystery Factor". This holy river has the unusual ability to retain dissolved oxygen from the atmosphere.

There is a bacteria called Bacteriophages which gives Ganga this unique property. This bacteria is one of the many reasons by which Gangajal can be stored fresh for many years.

Ganga water contains oxygen levels which are 25 times higher than any other river in the world. This is also one of the reasons by which Ganga gives out a unique ability to remain fresh.

The Mississippi river also has a lots of marine life in it. Have a look at this poster made by me, it shows the marine life of Mississippi river inside it containing Catfish, the most famous fish 🐠 in this river. The Rhine is one of the longest and most important river in Europe. It runs for over 1,232 km (766 mi) from its source in the in the Swiss Alps (in Switzerland), issuing from the Rheinwaldhorn Glacier 3,353m above sea level.

The Rhine flows through six countries -Switzerland, Principality of Liechtenstein, Austria, Germany, France and the Netherlands before flowing into the North Sea at Rotterdam.

The Rhine begins as a small stream in the Swiss Alps but soon gathers speed and volume on its way to Lake Constance, a source of drinking water for large parts of southern Germany. As it continues on its way to the North sea, the Rhine flows over the famous Rhine Falls at Schaffhausen and through the industrial town of Basel. There it becomes is a major transport route through Europe; transporting goods and raw materials by ship. It is now a wide river.

As the Rhine enters Germany it becomes the border between Germany and France. Through the Rhine Gourge the landscape changes again as the river narrows to form a steep sided-valley filled with vineyards and castles overlooking the river. Finally the Rhine reaches the Netherlands , a completely flat country, where it joins several other rivers on its final journey to Rotterdam and the sea.

Es gibt verschiedene Städte an den Ufern des Flusses Ganga wie Haridwar, Kanpur, Allahbad, Varanasi usw. Von diesen sind einige Großstädte Varanasi, in denen die Ganga Aarti abgehalten wird, Allahbad und Haridwar, zwei der vier Städte im Kumbh Mela, die in jeder Revolution gefeiert wird, wird durch Brihaspati vervollständigt, indem an vier Stellen in die Gewässer der Flüsse getaucht wird: Allahbad, Haridwar, Nashik und Ujjain. In diesen fließt Ganga in Haridwar oder Gangadwara und in Allahbad, indem es mit den Flüssen Yamuna und Saraswati zusammenfließt und sich in Prayagraj verwandelt.
