  • QUATERNARY: unlike the Tertiary period, the Earth's climate during this time was more on the cooler side, leading to a series of ice ages. These ice ages led to either adaptation of some mammals upon their surroundings, or sadly, extinction.

  • Average weight of an adult female panda: 200 pounds
  • Pandas can climb up to 13,000 feet.
  • Pandas are very good swimmers too.
  • Pandas are a shy-type of animals.
