This is the overarching theme which I choose for the 2 parks. I would like to create a place for tourist and office workers so that they can appreciate this type of art form which is not very familiar to most office workers and tourists. And it relates back to the theme which the 2 parks aspire to be; a Civic and Cultural Hub in Singapore. The park is suppose to give them a pleasant experience while walking through the park. As well as a place where artists and designers can showcase their work to the public. This creates awareness for the park users that there are some creative minds in Singapore and overseas

A platform for designers to show case their work so that people can appreciate and relate it back to the Civic and Cultural Hub these 2 parks aspire to be. The park users can look at the designers work at some designated areas of the 2 parks

Walk through exhibition

I am proposing to remove Penang Lane and create walk through exhibits showcasing the civic district of Singapore

This connects the 2 parks together giving it a continuous flow. It will give an idea to the tourists and office workers how Singapore was like in the olden days and how it has transformed into a modern city.

Park signs

You would be able to find these signs every few hundred metres soo that tourists would not get lost if they would like to exit the park to go to Shopping centre.

A Park Map is important since the park users would want to see the overview of the park. And for some it would be clearer for them to see the main road which run along the park

Plaques on Landart sculp

The plaques on the landart sculptures would tell the park users who designed it and what was the inspiration of that particular sculpture.

Open lawns

There would be some green lawns programmed into the 2 parks soo that the park users can seat around and chat or relax and look at the surrounding scenery.

Shelters made up of wood and other materials

There would be shelters along the 2 parks fitting to the theme; landart enabling the park users to sit on benchesunder these naturally made shelters to keep cool.

The pathways were designed in this fashion because the crack lines and the different sizes of rock slabs make it look unique and it fits my theme; landart

Lighting
