         <title>Las Posadas</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<ol><li><p>Las Posadas is celebrated starting on Dec 16 all the way up through Dec 24. </p></li><li><p>This marvelous holiday is celebrated by dressing up a small child as an angel that leads a procession through the streets of town.</p></li><li><p>The holiday as it’s celebrated now, with neighborhood groups going from house to house, didn’t take place until the nineteenth century. </p></li><li><p>On the last night of Las Posadas, the revelers typically attend midnight mass after the celebration and then continue the Christmas celebration the next day.</p></li><li><p>Experts believe that the nine days of Las Posadas symbolize the nine months of Mary's pregnancy.</p></li></ol><p><br/></p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<ol><li><p> Diwali 2023, was celebrated on Nov. 12.</p></li><li><p>Diwali is widely known as the festival of lights as it symbolizes the victory of light over darkness.</p></li><li><p>On this exquisite holiday families meet up and do tons of fireworks together.</p></li><li><p> The main gods of this holiday are Lord Lakshmi, and Lord Ganesha, this is why there is a prayer that is done by many families for these gods. This prayer also has to be held before 7:30 pm.</p></li><li><p>On Diwali people make something called a rangoli outside of their home (As shown in the picture above) and the purpose of it is to welcome gods.</p></li></ol>]]></description>

         <title>La Noche de Los Rabanos</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<ol><li><p>La Noche de Los Ribanos is celebrated on Dec 23</p></li><li><p>To celebrate families light fireworks, do parades, and eat tons of delicious foods!</p></li><li><p>It is known as, "Night of the Radishes" and is held in Oaxaca, Mexico, dedicated to the carving of oversized radishes to create scenes that compete for prizes in various categories. </p></li><li><p>Creations made from corn husks and dried flowers are also included in the competitions.</p></li><li><p>The Spanish brought radishes to Mexico in the 16th century. They grow in gnarled shapes and are not meant to be eaten.</p></li></ol>]]></description>
