         <description><![CDATA[<div>We can find out many things with genomics including mapping entire genomes, understanding and curing disease, and improving agriculture. We can also use it to catch criminals, determine fetus health, and to engineer hybrid organisms. This field continues to grow and develop and with that comes new discoveries everyday.</div>]]></description>

         <title>How do microbiologists use genomics?</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Microbiology use genomics in medical sciences by looking into our genes and analyzing certain aspects of it that can cause disease or defects from birth. These can include homozygous dominant diseases like sickle cell anemia or cystic fibrosis. With this the Human Genome project which looks into how genetic factors affect us with illness and possible cures for said illnesses like cancer. Microbiologist can use this information to develop cures by using things like attenuated virus or bacteria which can in take part of a cure for a disease. On example of this is using attenuated HIV into melanoma cancer cells to lyse them and reduce cancer. </div>]]></description>
