  • Pulse Oximity of less than 92% and elevated CPR
  • Tests can be run on patients sputum
Treatment:
Before administering treatment doctors must decide whether the patient requires in-patient or out-patient treatment.
In-Patient:
Administration of luoroquinolone or macrolide + beta-lactam in a non emergent setting and in an emergent setting a mix of  beta-lactam + macrolide or beta-lactam + fluoroquinolone.
Out-Patient:
Patients with comorbid conditions are treated with luoroquinolone or beta-lactams + macrolide. Patients without are treated with macrolide or doxycycline.
