In today’s society there are many hit and runs. A lot of these involve kids of all ages. Not many kids nowadays know how to properly cross the street. My passion has always been to help people and make a difference. I plan on making a difference with kids of all ages not knowing how to cross the street and to be safe drivers. In doing this I plan to partner up with Trooper Adam Williams and travel to different schools to teach kids how to be safe with the road. This will include what to wear and how to cross the street. 

I’ve always been interested in law enforcement since I grew up with my dad being a police officer. What interests me the most about my topic is that I will be making a big difference in the driving world. This is necessary because kids of all ages need to be educated on being safe drivers and being safe and aware of crossing streets. 

This topic will benefit the society but mostly kids of all ages. It will benefit the society because it will educate the kids which then they can bring the education to their families. It will benefit the kids because they will be educated to become more safer when driving and crossing the streets.

This is academically worthy because I will be volunteering at schools. I also will be educating kids on how to be safer when driving and crossing the streets. It's also academically worthy because I will be partnering up with a Trooper from the Colorado State Patrol and help them with their educational program. 

This is a stretch from my learning because I grew up educated about crossing the street safely and being aware of my surroundings when driving. Helping the State Patrol with their educational program will definitely look good on my resume since I will be volunteering with them.

I will show success by reducing the number of fatal crashes that involve a pedestrian. Currently now almost half of the fatal crashes in Adams County involve pedestrians.
