- Rose to fame as a model in the early 90s.
- In 1993, at just 26 years old, she was named Playboy's "Playmate of the Year" (basically the top model of the year, or hottest person alive).
- Smith gained worldwide and national attention after marrying 89-year-old J. Howard Marshall II, who soon died in 1985. She spent years fighting for his estates, and the fight continued even after her passing.
- She also had her own reality show from 2002 - 2004.

- She announced that she was pregnant during the summer of 2006, and gave birth to a daughter on September 7, 2006. She died 6 months later. Leaving behind a custody & paternity battle.

With a traumatic past and present, Anna Nicole was put on prescription antidepressants & anti-anxiety drugs. She also drank a lot during this time to help numb her pain.

- The media was no help! Rumors, conspiracy theories, and photoshop all played a role in her self-image and the perception of her from the general public.
- These all could've played a part in why Smith was depressed, anxious, and battled with her mental health. To fight these thoughts, prescription medication was thought to help her, but it would be her downfall in many ways.

Dr. Perper was the person who performed the stars autopsy and determined she died due to an accidental overdose with 8 medications/toxins found in her bloodstream. He described the death as "combined drug intoxication" with the primary drug being "the potent sedative chloral hydrate" also known as "the knockout drug."

- Celebrities and models are inspired by the legacy Anna Nicole left on the fashion industry. An example of this is Sydney Sweeney... In a new campaign, she recreated some of Smith's iconic photo shoots from the '90s.
- GUESS Originals is dropping an Anna Nicole Smith collection inspired by the late star's '90s style.
- She is credited as one of the early faces and pioneers of reality TV.

  • The father of Smith's newborn was up for debate (5 people claimed they were the father) until DNA results proved Larry Birkhead (a photographer) was in fact the father to Smith's newborn baby, Dannielynn. 
  • Today, in 2023 Larry raises their daughter and shares the legacy of the person Dannielynn never got to know. 

๐Ÿ’Š Trial #2: Crimes of Administrating to an Addict (2009-2011)
  • Dr. Stern (yes, her ex), Dr. Sandeep Kapoor, and Dr. Khristine Eroshevich were charged with conspiring to "commit the crimes of prescribing, administering, and dispensing controlled substances to an addict." They were originally not accused of causing Smith's death in 2007. 
  • All three were found guilty of prescribing the medications that killed Anna Nicole Smith.
