First we have to divide 1,000,000 by 8,000 to do that we take 3 zeros off each number to make it easier to divide. That gets us to 8 divided by 1,000. That is 125. Therefore 1,000,000 Indonesian Rupiahs are 125,000 Australian Dollars. 
EXTENSION:
We add up all the purchases and get the total which is 171,000.
