         <description><![CDATA[<p>Jethro woods created the iron plow. However John deer improved the iron plow by making it a steel plow more durable. A horse would be able to pull the steel plow more quickly than an ox.</p>]]></description>

         <title>Spinning Jenny 1764</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Workers had to use the spinning wheels to thread one string at a time. In 1764 James Hargreaves invented the Spinning Jenny which allowed them to thread multiple strings at a time.  This saves time and make work a lot easier than just using one thread. </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>"Lowell Girls"  in 1812 worked long hours year rounds and barely got breaks. They worked 12 hours a day 6 days a week. The "Lowell Girls" were hired to work near farms usually. The normally worked a few years in the mills before returning home. </p>]]></description>

         <title>Urbanization from the 1800&quot;s to 1850</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>During the industrial revaluation people left farms to go work in cities. Cities population began to grow big as more factories and jobs opened up. This is because factories profit was higher than farmers profit. During 1850 15% of people lived in cities. This is called urbanization. Since cities population started to grow and grow it causes human modification and gravel streets turned into mud wholes when  it rained. People started to throw garage in the streets and there was no longer sewage systems. The cities started to become filthy and very over populated. </p>]]></description>

In 1840 about 4 million immigrants arrived in the U.S. They came for the option of jobs like farming and working in factories. But then there was a demand for more skilled machines, carpenters and miners.</p>]]></description>

         <title>Slater mills powered by water 1793</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>In 1793, Samuel Slater created the Slater Mills powered by water. He was a skilled mechanic in a British textile mill. The Slater mill was the first successful mill. His mill started to not work but he started to improve it. By 1973 it was successful and he had officially created the first working water powered mill. </p>]]></description>

         <title>Cast iron stove 1834</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>In 1843 Philo Stewart created a small Cast Iron stove small enough to use in a average kitchen. His factory built a wood burning stove that was successful. About 90,000 wood burning stoves were sold. The cast iron stove that was created was not only the one sign of the way factories were changing the lives of ordinary people but this was a huge help to them and their daily life. </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>The Mechanical Reaper was a horse drawn machine that cut and gathered wheat and other grains. These machines helped farmers raise more grains using fewer hands. This made it a lot easier to produce products and it worked faster. </p>]]></description>

All parts were made similar so they can be used for many different things instead of having to spend money on another part. That saved time for the people making those parts because now they make one that is used for multiple things. This helped saved a lot of money and time for citizens and factory makers.</p>]]></description>
