This is an application, located in the Apple App Store, that allows children to connect their phones/tablets/etc. and share a virtual "whiteboard." SPED students can use this app as a way to study with one another in a more intriguing way.

For example, one student could write out a math problem and another could answer the problem from their own tablet.

Google Drive is wonderful to use for collaboration in the classroom. Students in my classroom can use the different tools to create slideshow presentations, write papers, make spreadsheets, etc. They can work from different work spaces, yet still contribute to the same document. This will not only help them to further understand the technology we use in the modern world, but it will also allow them to share their work with others for easy peer review and editing.

Quizlet is a wonderful study tool for students in any classroom. My SPED students could benefit from making their own flashcards, along with being able to study them on a computer, tablet, or other electronic device with their peers. This technological tactic will keep students more engaged in studying than the traditional flashcard method because it can read the cards aloud to the student.

This app is a great way for my students to break into groups to practice comparing, adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing fractions. They can help each other with problems they are stuck on or work together to work through problems that none of them understand fully. Children in my classroom will not be on the same education level as their classmates who are in general education classes full time. This extra practice will help them tremendously. The involvement of a tablet or phone will make this intriguing to those who may typically not enjoy mathematics.

This app is a typical spinner with a personal twist. Each student could download the app and type the names of students in their group.
