         <title>Microsoft Word</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Word is a part of the large catalog of applications and tools from Microsoft. Microsoft Word is an industry leading word processor that allows the user to create, edit, and print documents. Word also includes many different templates that can be used to simplify the document creation process. Students are able to create newsletters, signs, posters, essays, resumes, and many more. Word is available on and offline, giving students many opportunites to complete their work. Teachers are able to provide feedback to their students right within the application.&nbsp;<br><br>Microsoft Word can be used by students' grades K-12 and beyond!&nbsp;<br><br>Word is even more useful in the English/Language Arts classroom. Students are able to curate their essays and other writing assignments that they will be given in ELA classes. They are able to pick from the many templates to create unique and engaging projects. Diverse learners can utilize word to succeed in all their classes. English language learners are able to utilize word to ensure they are using appropriate grammar and spelling in their assignments.&nbsp;<br><br>Limitations that currently present themselves is the fact that many schools utilize Google Classroom. Google has their own office apps and students may utilize these apps for the ease of collaboration between Google Classroom and the Google apps. </div>]]></description>

         <title>Adobe Illustrator</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Adobe Illustrator allows students to create unique and beautiful logos, designs, web graphics, and much more. Students are able to edit, enhance, and alter digital images for a variety of classroom assignments.&nbsp;<br><br>This program works best for students in grades 6-12. It is a bit of a more difficult software tool, and many be advanced for elementary students.&nbsp;<br><br>This tool can be used in the English/Language Arts classroom to enhance projects and writing assignments by adding unique graphics and images to their assignments. Students are able to reinforce concepts by implementing strong visual elements to their projects in ELA classes and beyond.&nbsp;<br><br>Illustrator works well for a diverse group of students by allowing students to create images as easy or as difficult as they would like them to be. For students that may need extra help, illustrator provides many different tutorials and guides to make simple graphics. For exceptional learners, Illustrator can provide guides and tutorials for a more advanced experience.&nbsp;<br><br>There are some limitations to the app however, it is not available for all students, and can be quite expensive for students that are not provided the program through their school. The high price tag and its limited availability can be challenging for some educators to implement the software in their classrooms. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Khan Academy provides students with hundreds of tutorials that are both text and multimedia based. Students can find graphics, animation, and audio and video clips. Khan Academy is free and designed to differentiate the classroom experience. There is something for every kind of student out there. Khan Academy boosts students learning by personalizing learning, providing trusted content, and providing tools to empower teachers. Students can utilize Khan Academy for math, grammar, science, history, SAT, AP, and many more.&nbsp;<br><br>Khan Academy is available for students K-12.<br><br>Students can utilize Khan Academy to engage with material in all their classes, especially their English/Language Arts classes. Students are able to find tutorials on a wide variety of topics that they need reinforced. All they need to do is do a quick search and there will be many different resources to reinforce what they are learning in the classroom.<br><br>Khan Academy is an amazing resource for diverse students. Educators are able to differentiate instruction between on all students by providing different lessons on the same topic. Khan Academy provides different institution on the same topics for a wide variety of students and to meet all their specific needs.&nbsp;<br><br>Limitations to the tool would be student access and teachers' ability to utilize the program. Some students may not be able to access the tool on their school issued computer due to limitations set by the district. This could also be a limitation for teachers. <br><br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Google Classroom is a suite of tools and resources for teachers and their classes. Google Classroom allows teachers to post assignments, communicate with students and parents, students turn in assignments, and provide class announcements. Google Classroom integrates with students Chromebooks and the Google suite of office applications (Google Docs, Google Slides, Google Sheets, Google Drive, and Google Hangouts).&nbsp;<br><br>Google Classroom is applicable to all students in grades K-12, and many schools have already integrated Google Classroom into all their classes.&nbsp;<br><br>Google Classroom can be integrated into the English/Language Arts classroom by allowing students and teachers to communicate and collaborate on assignments, including essays and writing assignments. Students are also able to view their feedback in real-time after submitting their assignments.&nbsp;<br><br>Google Classroom and its easy-to-use interface works for all students, including all the diverse students making up a classroom. Teachers are able to differentiate their instruction by posting comments and assignments for each specific student.&nbsp;<br><br>Currently, limitations that are present with Google Classroom is that it is highly integrated with Google. Meaning that students that choose to use other brands of office suites may have issues ingratiating with Google Classroom. <br><br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Canva is a graphic design platform that allows users to create unique graphics and presentations. Teachers and students can create graphics using premade templates that are easy to make their own. Canvas is free to create an account and you are able to save your projects in the cloud. They do offer paid subscriptions if you are a heavy user. Additional functionality includes downloads, sharing, and removing ads. Students can take advantage of templates for infographics, presentations, charts, and many more.&nbsp;<br><br>Canva is suited for students in middle and high school. Younger students are able to utilize the platform, but may find it more difficult to use than middle and high school students.&nbsp;<br><br>Canva is an amazing resource for the English/Language Arts classroom. Students are able to engage with their assignments through creating unique graphics. Teachers are able to assign assignments that go hand and hand with the templates that you can find on Canva. Students can also create graphics to compliment their writing assignments.&nbsp;<br><br>Canva is perfect for all the diverse students found in the classroom. Students can choose templates that fit their learning style and level. There are less complicated templates for students that may struggle with graphics, and there are more complicated templates for students that may need more of a challenge.&nbsp;<br><br>Limitations to the app are that some of the templates are only available to paid subscribers. There are also limitations on downloads as well. If students are trying to download their projects to turn into Google Classroom, for example, they may not be able to as a free subscriber. </div>]]></description>

It is the teachers responsibility to ensure students understand copyright, privacy, and online safety. It is the teacher’s responsibility to ensure they are leading by example and modeling responsible and ethical uses of technology and all the software and tools that is used in the classroom. </div>]]></description>
