I loved the experience of participating in so many unique activities. The connection to contemporary artists works was also helpful. In addition, I appreciated the eclectic philosophy you expressed and use with students. Our students are still building a repertoire of techniques and visual vocabulary so balancing open ended, more expressive/non-objective drawing with more "classical" techniques (contour, gesture, perspective, value, etc.) seems the most effective method of instruction.
I hope to use many in my classroom this year--especially with grade 6 when we do our drawing unit.

Upgrade for next time:
With adults it's nice to have a bit longer to work on the artwork. 
Maybe you could introduce several ideas and then we could go back to continue one that we especially enjoyed or want to continue.

Not only will I use these ideas and lessons, it also gave me the inspiration to experiment with my own abstract artist expression and curiosity.
