According to interview about IB education to Mr. Im last year "problems of the IB educational teaching is that is the teacher do not motivates to the students to study or do their assessments students do not do their work." So, problems like students playing games during the class time or in the school is because of the negative of the IB educational teaching. For instance, when I'm in the school and when the teacher doesn't come but sub teacher comes all my friends don't do the work and I just watch Youtube or play games. Teacher don't give motivations to the students by not coming to school and students just play games during the school time

Students don't work when teacher do not motivates students to do the work. So, the need is the motivation to do the work, and students needs to learnWhat motivates students to do the work? Fun motivates to do the work. Because, for instance when I do the skate board design, it was very fun to do. It motivates to make the skate board rather watching youtube gaming. Skate board unit was different from other units. It don't need to write long paragraphs for Criterion A1 A2 A3 A4 B1... So, the problems needs different events or teaching style.

Solution

As I said the problems needs different from daily works that repeats everyday. So, the solution is that changing the environment. New things that changes the hole thing will motivates the students to be happy and they will work properly. we can change seats, teaching style, teacher or class room. This will motivates students to do the work. For example, as I said skate board unit changed the teaching style and made us to work harder and fun. Other example is that changing art into music. When the semester ends we change the subject. This made me to work properly as well. So, for example or changing environment, it can change by studying by gaming.

The effects of the changing the environment is that make students to be interest to the working and pay attention. Problem was that the if teachers don't motivates students to do the work they don't do any work. So, my solution was to change a environment. By this I believe that it could help students. Because according to my research in the Thought Hub "When students plays game, they experience the world in a new way. Game introduces a basic information and gamer learns how to do that game by experiencing themselves. By this they solve problems in their own way through the complex metal challenges that games gives you. They also develops when they plays a similar game they could do better. Also, gaming offers motivations and relevance to the students. If students meets problem in real life they could be nervous and scared. But in the gaming world they keeps on try to clear the game until the problem is solved."(thoughthub.com, March 16)
Citation: "LaSera, McElhany Ph. D. In this game my job is to not let the ball touch the red ground. It is very simple and easy to play. (Features) Since, it is simple to play the code is as simple as the way of playing game. Every code is to bounce the ball when it hits the ground or paddle or the top. (Complexity of Code) The graphics are very simple. It is just a one red color for the ball. Also, for the paddle it is only one green color. (Graphics) It teaches the basic control of the game. Also, it helps you to get correct timing to hit the ball back and not letting ball to hit the ground. But, there isn't any education sources like math or English.

Maze starter has much more less sprites than the pong starter. It only has one sprites. It is a character that I will be controlling for this game. That sprites looks like a ball and it is orange color. I can move this sprites by WASD or using the arrows. It is very easy to play and simple. I just need to go to finish line from the start line. There is blue wall that is blocking the finish line. I have to find the way to go to the finish line. (Features) This game's code is much more simple than the pong starter. Code have the code that not letting character to go through the wall and showing 'You win' when you get to the finish line. Other codes is the move the sprite. (Complexity of Code). Graphics are very simple. It is just blue boxes for the wall with one blue color. And orange for the character. But character has two different layer of the orange color. Top has more solid color and outside has almost transparent orange color. (Graphics) By playing this game I could learn how to find the other way if there is the wall blocking you from the goal. It also teaches basic control of the game. Moving the character by WASD. But, I can't see other educational sources. (Education)

In my primary resource, I used interview report to analyze about the IB education. I found out that IB education educating style is for the students. It is a student leading education. But if the teacher doesn't motivated students to do the work students don't do the work.
In my secondary resource I found out that the scratch works by making a code to move sprites or control it. By making more complex codes you can make more interesting game. Also, scratch is programming and online community to make and share your game or program with around the world. I also researched about the school that teaches by game or internet. School that teaches through internet already exists. It is our school. Our school uses laptop to educate people. Also according to the BBC news, in the near future all school will use laptop instead of text books. Also, other articles claims that the school that teaches through video game already exists and this can be the future of the American education. So, it is possible to teach students through the video games.
I wanted to make a music or rhythm games. For instance, like a 'tap sonic'. It is a game that the bar drops and you have to touch the bar as the beat of the music. All the game that I analyzed were using keyboards to play the game. Game that I' m going to make will also contains the keyboards to play. Also, this kind of game helps students improving the rhythm and the music. So, it also has the educational sources that I want. But the problem is that there is lack of educational sources. So, I will add mathematical sources by putting math problems and putting answers in the bar. Bar will drop and I need to choose correct answer. Also, bar will drop along the beat of the music.

Changes to my Design

There were many changes to my design. The thing that I changed is the educational sources in my design. My original design was to make a rhythmical game. The bar drops and the player have to touch the bar on the right beat and timing along the beat and play of the music. It is very similar form as the mobile game called 'tap sonic'. But, there were lack of educational sources in this form of the game. It only teaches the rhythm and the beat. So, I decided to add the mathematical sources into it. I recently learned factoring in the SSIS math class. Because I do very well in the math. I made my game like there is the question in the top and there is bar dropping slowly. I have to touch the bar in the correct timing. This game will be played along the beat of the music. There is so many other things that I had to change because of the same reason. My computer was broken for four to five days so, I had wasted my time to make a game. So, I had limited time to finish my game. So, I decided to delete and give up some additional sources that is not that important. Those things are the sources that will make my game interesting and motivate students to play. Those are background music, sprites effect, setting, tutorial, rewards and additional levels for the students. Other thing that I had to give up is length of the game. I had to make my game very very short to finish before the deadline. If I had more time I would be able to add all these sources to make my game better to motivate students to play.

The following the improvements to my design

1) Educations to the game
The educations in the game could have improved. It could be improved by putting more questions. Questions will be from my own math text book and grade 8 text book. Also I was able to make the questions harder. I am learning higher level of math in my own house. So, using textbook that I'm using I could be able to make the questions harder. I've said that by making the game harder it would be able to educate better. Other way to make the game harder is making the bar drop speed faster. Then students will have to calculate the questions more faster so that they would be able to calculate the question in a jiffy when they clear the game.

2) Games and what makes them motivating
The motivations in the game could improve by adding rewards when the player clears the game. The game will say "Goo job" or "Very nice" with the graphic effects to let students feel more sense of accomplishment that would motivate students to play the game again. Also other way to make students to feel more sense of accomplishment so that to motivate students to play the game is making the game harder. If I make the game harder students will use more efforts and energies to the game. I will make the game hard by making the answer bars to fall faster to let students to calculate more faster. Also, I will add questions from grade 9 text book or math extended text book to higher the level of the game. And when they clear the game students will be able to feel accomplishment so that they will get motivated to play the game. Another way to motivate students to play the game is making the game more interesting. I could make the game more interesting by putting the BGM sound and making graphic effects to the sprites.

3) How to program a computer game
Programming computer game could be improved by having more time on making the game. Most of the improvements needed to be improved because I did not have enough time to finish the game. So, I had to change my design and plan to be able to finish my game. Therefore there was a lot of improvements that has to be improved. So, I could improve these things by having more time on making the game.

1) The education of the game
The impact of the educational game on the audience was not satisfactory. The game was able to ask them a question, but there was only one question in the game. So, the game was able to ask them a question, but unable to help them to learn math.

2) Games and what make them motivating
The impact of the motivations on the audience was not satisfactory. The game was unable to play the BGM sound. There is only sound effects when the sprites are clicked. Also there isn't any rewards when students finishes their game. So, there is so little bit of the sound effects and game sources to interest students to motivate but there were many better ways to interest students.

3) How to program a computer game
The impact of the programming of a computer to educate students was partially successful. Answers from the test to the students were They would play this game rather reading books. But, my motivations and educations in my game needed many improvements and they were not satisfactory.

I think computers in the future could replace teachers and make the genre of educational games. There are a lot of things that needs to be improved and that is not reach my satisfactory, but it was made in about 1 or 2 weeks and this is first time code to make the game. So, if the exerts or real programmer programs a educational games, I think it would be able to replace teachers and make genre of educational games. According to research in Criteria A there is a school that is already teaching through the video games. So, it is possible to replace teachers in the near future.

The game would have the educational sources and game sources combined to motivate students to play as they are studying. I will add gaming sources like, controlling sprites, BGM, and graphic effects to the game. Also the game will be hard and there will be rewards and prizes when they clear the game. This can make students to feel sense of accomplishment and motivate students to play again.
