Assessment methods: 

-          Pre assessment

-          Super Six questions – completed at the beginning of each lesson to keep track of how well the class is keeping pace with the content. These consist of questions relevant to previous years learning, previous topic learning and previous lesson’s learning ( quizzes, true or false statements; sometimes, always, never statements, concept cartoons)

-          Practical experiments 

-          Teachers may use discussions children and verbal comments make to assess a child’s knowledge of a topic

-          End of unit assessments based on the questions that they have been asked throughout the topic. This will help inform any gaps in learning and will allow these questions and learning points to be revisited again.
