Over the course of 3 days, I participated in our school's very own MUN conference, where I was in the International Criminal Court as an advocate with a fellow G11 student Sehwan Park. We ended up winning the award of the best advocate pair.

Chairing Middle School Modal United Nations Conference- UWCSEA East

I just chaired a middle school conference at my home school, UWCSEA East. I chaired the committee named SPECPOL and oversaw the engagement of the delegates with global issues, such as the tensions between Japan and South Korea over ownership of land, and the issue of addressing issues with Africa after its decolonisation. I faced the challenge of making sure delegates weren't disrespecting other delegates verbally. Every time a delegate did such a thing, I took matters into my own hands by consulting with the delegates and getting them to apologise to others, as it was crucial that personal views weren't brought into the issue being debated at hand during the conference. I was the head chair and co-chaired the committee with my co-chairs from UWC Dover, which went great as we all improved our collaborative skills and learned that working together collaboratively was efficient, especially when managing more than 20 delegates. This was my 22nd conference since Grade 6, and MUN has always been a great passion of mine.

I was at the most prestigious conference, SEASAC, at NIST in Thailand, where I was in the ECOSOC committee. The conference lasted 4 days.

Leading Sustainabrew

As the chair of Sustainabrew, I lead sessions where we make drinks for other service groups in the school for the sole purpose of selling these drinks while being sustainable, and promoting sustainability. During this session, we made a lemon-orange isotonic drink.

During this session, we recreated our iconic isotonic drink for athletes in the upcoming SEASAC games for touch rugby. The photo shows me teaching new members the correct technique for cutting and then eventually juicing oranges.

During this session, I was able to showcase my skills of being a quick thinker and a resourceful person, as we had found ourselves in a tricky situation where we determined we wouldn't be able to satisfy the needs of the services we were working with, so I came up with the plan of delegating tasks to the members of our service by getting them to come and help out in the service throughout the school week, to get our job done as efficiently and sustainably as possible.

Gym session

During this session, I was working on developing the muscles in my chest and triceps. I usually do a push pull legs routine in order to make sure that I gain muscles in preparation for my enlistment in the Singaporean army. Over the last few weeks, I have been able to increase my maximum bench press by 5 kilograms, which is pretty significant for going to the gym for just a few weeks.
