"I liked to go for long walks at night. I often walked west toward the river. The city lights obscured the stars, but on clear nights, I could see Venus on the horizon, up over the dark water, glowing steadily."
“We should drink a toast to Rex,” John said.
Mom stared at the ceiling, miming perplexed thought. “I’ve got it.” She held up her glass. “Life with your father was never boring.”
In this picture you can see that a young women accept what happen to her in her past and now know why thing happen this way. Jeannette and her sibling were able to survive throughout these years from moving around, trying to able to get food, not having a lot of clothing, and etc. Jeannette accepted what she has been through and the reason that her parent acted the way they were was because they were simply being their self. Not matter how many time Jeannette wanted to change her parent, they weren't going to let themselves, so she accepted on how they were, acted, and were thinking.

"When Dad wasn’t telling us about all the amazing things he had already done, he was telling us about the wondrous things he was going to do. Like build the Glass Castle. All of Dad’s engineering skills and mathematical genius were coming together in one special project: a great big house he was going to build for us in the desert."
"Mom, however, told us that the FBI wasn’t really after Dad; he just liked to say they were because it was more fun having the FBI on your tail than bill collectors."
In this picture of a little girl that had a dolphin as a pet and is walking towards the city is like when Rex keeps telling his children all these story about his time of adventures and mixing the reality with the fantasy. So the children are easy played by their father's story and believing every single word and so they're amazed by their father. Which can disrupt the children mind in the future because they won't know what the difference between what's real or fake.

“Hey,”Dad said. He winked and pointed his finger at me “Have I ever let you down?”
He started chuckling because he knew there was only one way I could ever answer that question. I just smiled. And then I closed the door."
In this picture, it shows how the person let go her anger and forgives the people who have not hurt her physical, mentially, and verballyJeannette later forgives her parent and especially her father because all these "adventure" has made her how she is. She doesn't hold the grudge on them, as she grew up, she later see why her father was doing the things he did back when she was a child.

"I stared at the plans. “Dad,” I said, “you’ll never build the Glass Castle.”
“Are you saying you don’t have faith in your old man?”
“Even if you do, I’ll be gone.”...“As soon as I finish classes, I’m getting on the next bus out of here. If the buses stop running, I’ll hitchhike. I’ll walk if I have to. Go head and build the Glass Castle, but don’t do it for me.”
In this picture it shows how a person in walking away after not keeping a promise that they did with the little kid. Jeannette has opened her eyes and realized that everything her father has promised her and her sibling wasn't kept well. Even though it's hard to believe it, she knows that the glass castle was never going to be real. Rex is bad at keeping promises and does thing without thinking about it.

“Who do you think you are?” he asked. “She’s your mother.”
“Then why doesn’t she act like one?” I looked at Dad for what felt like a very long moment. Then I blurted out, “And why don’t you act like a dad?”
In this picture it shows how a person tries to survive in the craziness that is going on in their mind and in the real world as for Jeannette and her sibling are trying hard to survive and fighting for their lives. Their parents are irresponsible, who can't think to put their children first before them. So Jeannette and her sibling are working hard together to able to stay alive but her parent aren't helping them. Rex and Mary aren't giving their children proper food, clothing, beds, warmth, and many more.

“I swear, honey, there are times when I think you’re the only one around who still has faith in me,” said. “I don’t know what I’d do if you ever lost it.” I told him that I would never lose faith in him. And I promised myself I never would."
In this picture of a happy family represent Rex love for his family so much but he loves Jeannette so much more. Their love is so different that you can't find the right word to able to able to describe on how they show they show their for each other. Rex always says that he love his family that he would anything to "protect them" and that he "gives all his best" to able to maintain his family together. So when the children are young they look up to their parent and have a lot of love in them.
