As someone preparing to teach psychology at the university level, Teach Psych provides incredibly relevant content that blends educational psychology, mental health, and teaching practices. It offers blog articles on inclusive teaching, supporting marginalized students, understanding cognitive development, and integrating mental health in the classroom. I appreciate this resource because it helps me reflect on how I can teach psychological concepts in a way that is compassionate, rigorous, and grounded in lived experience—values I bring into both my tutoring work and my conferences with Muslim youth in Quebec.

This resource is a blog maintained by experienced university instructors who teach clinical psychology. It offers a behind-the-scenes look at how to design courses, deliver lectures, discuss sensitive topics (like trauma or diagnosis), and mentor students in the field. I plan to pursue a PhD in Clinical Psychology and become a university professor, so I find this resource invaluable for thinking ahead about how I want to structure my courses and support my students—not only as learners but as future clinicians. It’s a space where academic theory meets ethical, student-centered teaching, which aligns perfectly with my vision.

This UK-based organization offers culturally sensitive mental health support resources tailored to Muslim youth. In my weekly conferences, Les Fleurs du Futur, I create a space for Muslim girls in Quebec to feel safe discussing identity, inclusion, emotions, and spirituality. Resources like those provided by MYH help me incorporate relevant language, concepts, and examples that resonate with participants’ lived experiences. In the future, I’d also like to bring this kind of cultural sensitivity to university-level psychology education—particularly in clinical settings where religious or cultural identity is often overlooked.

This platform brings together research-based practices for social-emotional learning (SEL), compassion, and mindfulness in education. It is rooted in the belief that well-being and emotional intelligence are essential in teaching and learning. I use this resource to guide how I structure community programs and conversations with youth, but I also see its value in postsecondary education. As a future university instructor, I want to move beyond simply transferring knowledge—I want to create classrooms where students feel emotionally safe, heard, and empowered. GGIE provides concrete strategies to help me achieve that goal.
