There are some issues that Scientist have not found an exact answer for. 
 Descriptive, correlation, and experiment are three research methods that are used. The descriptive method is a study that monitor and observe someone's behavior. The correlation research   ventures to resolute the solidity of the affiliation of the event(s) or attributes in a persons life. The experiment is an approach that is attentive to impact the behavior that is being studied. The good thing about this particular research is the fact that it can uncover things about an individual. The negative aspect of this research is it will not necessarily manifest the core of the situation or solultion. 
     The correlational research is used to try to determine the core by using connections of an incident(s). The experimental research goes into detail of putting focus on other elements to distract from the power in which is being studied.  
I believe that all of the research methods indeed serve their purpose. I believe that realistically as humans we have the power to turn our feelings off and on. What I mean by that is we can pretend and make ourselves feel a certain way. The way we express our selves to people, or even when we answer a question. We can say whatever we want with our mouth, but there is a chance that we feel the total opposite of what we may say. There are guidelines that you must follow. You can not just decide you want to analyze someone and conduct your study. The participants have rights that must be taken into consideration. There is a code of ethics that protects individuals. You have to make sure that it has been approved before you take action on conducting an evaluation and so forth.

They are many types of theories. Erikson, Frued, and Piaget are a few names of the different men who had theories. Frued's Theory has always interested me. Erikson's theory has as well.
