English cuisine is known for hearty stews and meat dishes, but people in England also enjoy a variety of foods. The first reason why I love English cuisine is because of its popular traditional dishes, including Yorkshire Pudding, Fish and Chips, Bangers and Mash, Shepherd’s Pie, Roast Beef and Gravy, Toad in the Hole, Bubble and Squeak, Ploughman’s Lunch, Steak and Kidney Pie, Cornish Pasty, and Black Pudding. As a food lover, I always want to try all of these dishes.

The second reason why I am interested in English cuisine is because England is the oldest cradle of cuisine in the world, having set standards for almost all kinds of Western food. Not to mention the Michelin Standards. Achieving one star from this standard requires perfection not only in your food, but also in how you take care of your customers, how you decorate your restaurants, and more. Achieving one Michelin star can bring you a lot of fame, not just in the restaurant business but also among chefs worldwide.

The last reason is about one of the world's famous chefs, Gordon Ramsey. He is a legendary chef who is known for his temper, but it's because he loves food in general so much. Every time he makes a dish, he puts his heart into it. When somebody else makes a dish for him, he never tolerates any mistakes because he wants every dish served to customers to be perfect.

English cuisine has provided me with a lot of knowledge not only about how to make food, but also about the stories behind each dish. I am really thankful for the instructor who guided me throughout the semester, helping me gain more knowledge about the UK and develop a passion for English, which will benefit me in the future.
