20 mins p. 1-11

"traitorous"? There were men in white with hoods and they were called the "Klan". whenever the townspeople heard this name, they were instantly alert. I am interested to see what happens and why the Klan are in the little town of Bumblebee.

20 mins p. 12-22
I can relate because sometimes when grown-ups talk, it is kind of dull but sometimes I disagree because sometimes I enjoy listening to grown-ups conversations. I didn't get it when Stella said she was irked because it had to do with all of them. All of the grown-ups, but why was she irked because what had to do with all of them? What was she irked about? This is unclear to me... I like how Stella and Tony are such good friends without the romance and stuff. I like how they are friends, boy and girl, like brother and sister not boyfriend and girlfriend.

20 mins p. 23-29
It's weird how only white people were in the newspapers. Rarely, black people were mentioned. I like, though, how the black people referred to themselves as Negros. In the end of the chunk I have read, Stella and her little brother, Jojo, race to see who can beat who to the Winston's tree. I like that they play as siblings, while now, siblings usually ignore or argue most of the time.

13.51 minutes p. 228-232
It's kind of unfair to us when Crow thinks one way about the treasure, as if her mother left it and hid the treasure for her to find, but Osh knows that the other people such as the police will not think that way. I like how Crow thinks to herself, "I don't care a lick about any of that". This seems kind of southern but it sounds funny.

26.49 minutes p. 232-240
It's scary to know that Mr. Kendall was banging on a door, asking to know where Crow and Osh lived. He then went to their cottage and messed everything up. He found some or all of the jewels that Crow had set aside for herself, from her mother. I'm wondering if this man was/is trying to kill Crow, Miss Maggie, and Osh, or what.

20 mins p. 30-41
I didn't know Stella had a BFF, but I like how close they are. Their birthdays are even 3 days apart! Also, I knew exactly what they meant when the author mentioned a cat-eyed marble. I can also relate. ;)
It's unfair that white and black people are separated. They each have to go to separate schools, and most of the whites believed that whites are better than blacks. It hit me, though, when I thought that I would have been one of those whites. I don't even get why it matters; what color is your skin. Would mixed people have been counted as blacks?
