1.) We can actually use China as an example of how pollution can affect your environment. The smoke produced by factories lead to perpetually hazy conditions, with the residents having to wear masks everyday. Also, there will be a lack of plants and greenery due to chemical waste from factories affecting the soil. Also, waste being disposed of into rivers and water bodies lead to the death of aquatic animals and a lack of clean water.
2.) Plants and greenery will die if chemical waste or certain forms of waste affect the soil. Aquatic animals will die by consuming plastics in the water and will die due to toxic chemicals in the water. Humans will be affected as well, with the chances of getting sicknesses may increase.
3.) Reduce, reuse recycle. Don't throw waste into the water. Use the car less.

Due to this global warming will affect the earth even more green house gases trapped in the ozone layer which will cause ice glaciers to melt resulting in decrease of polar animals' population. We will also be affected as the polluted air we breathe in will cause us diseases.
2)We humans will get affected by diseases caused by pollution from cars, smoke from industries and much more.mostly because the air we breathe is polluted.
the sea and ocean is being polluted due to oil spills and trash being dumped there. populations of animals decrease rapidly. Plants near industries will die as the polluted air will affect them. the water they take in may also be a reason.
3) we can practice the 3 rs reduce, reuse and recycle. this way lesser items would be wasted and decomposition of plastic would decrease.

In short, environmental pollution, almost exclusively created by human activities, has a negative effect on the ecosystem, destroying crucial layers of it and causing an even more negative effect on the upper layers.

Effects on Animals: Environmental pollution mainly affects animal by causing harm to their living environment, making it toxic for them to live in. Acid rains can change the composition of rivers and seas, making them toxic for fishes, an important quantity of ozone in the lower parts of the atmosphere can cause lung problems to all animals. Nitrogen and phosphates in water will cause overgrowth of toxic algae, preventing other forms of life to follow their normal course. Eventually, soil pollution will cause harm and sometimes even the destruction of microorganisms, which can have the dramatic effect of killing the first layers of the primary food chain.
IN YOUR HOME

Completely turn off equipment like televisions and stereos when you're not using them.

Choose energy-efficient appliances and light bulbs.

Save water: some simple steps can go a long way in saving water like, like turning off the tap when you are brushing your teeth or shaving. Try to collect the water used to wash vegetables and salad to water your houseplants.

Lower your shades or close your curtains on hot days, to keep the house cool and reduce the use of electric fans or air-conditioning.

Let clothes dry naturally.

Keep lids on pans when cooking to conserve energy.

Use rechargeable batteries.

Call your local government to see if they have a disposal location for used batteries, glass, plastics, paper or other wastes.

Don’t use “throw away” products like paper plates and napkins, or plastic knives, forks and cups.

Send electronic greetings over email, instead of paper cards.

IN YOUR GARDEN

Collect rainwater to water your garden.

Water the garden early in the morning or late in the evening. This reduces water loss due to evaporation. Don’t over-water the garden. Water only until the soil becomes moist, not soggy.

Explore water efficient irrigation systems. Sprinkler irrigation and drip irrigation can be adapted to garden situations.

Make your garden lively - plant trees and shrubs that will attract birds. You can also put up bird nest boxes with food.

Put waste to work in your garden- sweep the fallen leaves and flowers into flowerbeds or under shrubs. This will increase soil fertility and also reduce the need for frequent watering.

If you have little space in your garden, you could make a compost pit to turn organic waste from the kitchen and garden to soil enriching manure.

Plant local species of trees, flowers and vegetables.

Don't use chemicals in the garden - as they will eventually end up in the water systems and can upset the delicate balance of lifecycles.

Organic and environmentally friendly fertilizers and pesticides are available - organic gardening reduces pollution and is better for wildlife.

WHILE SHOPPING

Buy fruit and vegetables that are in season to help reduce enormous transport costs resulting from importing produce and, where possible, choose locally produced food.

When buying fish look out for a variety of non-endangered species and buy local fish if possible.

Bring your own bags to the grocery and refuse the plastic bags that create so much waste.

Look for products that have less packaging.

AT WORK

Use printers that can print on both sides of the paper; try to look into this option when replacing old printers.

Use the back of a draft or unwanted printout instead of notebooks. Even with a double-sided printer there is likely to be plenty of spare paper to use!

Always ask for and buy recycled paper if you can - for your business stationery and to use in your printers.

Switch off computer monitors, printers and other equipment at the end of each day. Though in standby mode they're still using power - and that adds to global warming. Always turn off your office light and computer monitor when you go out for lunch or to a meeting.

ON HOLIDAY

Go on holiday during the off-peak period to prevent over straining resources - you'll also avoid the crowds.

Find out about places before you visit. You may be visiting an environmentally sensitive area, in which case you must take extra care to stay on footpaths and follow signs.

Don't travel by air if you can avoid it because air travel uses up large amounts of fossil fuels and creates greenhouse gases.

Dispose of any rubbish responsibly - it can be hazardous to wildlife.

Use public transport, cycle or walk instead of using a car.

Use facilities and trips run by local people whenever possible.

Don't be tempted to touch wildlife and disturb habitats whether on land, at the coast or under water.

Be careful what you choose to bring home as a holiday souvenir. Many species from coral and conch shells to elephants and alligators are endangered because they are killed for curios or souvenirs.

Don’t leave any rubbish at the beach – it can be very dangerous for the wildlife.

Boats and jet-skis create noise and chemical pollution that is very disturbing to wildlife - don't keep the engine running unnecessarily

REDUCE, REUSE AND RECYCLE

Always use both sides of a sheet of paper.

Use e-mail to stay in touch, including cards, rather than faxing or writing.

Share magazines with friends and pass them on to the doctor, dentist or local hospital for their waiting rooms.

Use recyclable paper to make invitation cards, envelops, letter pads etc., if you can.

Use washable nappies instead of disposables if you can.

Recycle as much as you can.

Give unwanted clothes, toys and books to charities and orphanages.

Store food and other products in containers rather than foil and plastic wrap

The planet is already suffering from some impacts of global warming.

Ice is melting worldwide, especially at the Earth’s poles. This includes mountain glaciers, ice sheets covering West Antarctica and Greenland, and Arctic sea ice.

Many species have been impacted by rising temperatures. For example, researcher Bill Fraser has tracked the decline of the Adélie penguins on Antarctica, where their numbers have fallen from 32,000 breeding pairs to 11,000 in 30 years.

The sea level has been rising more quickly over the last century.

Some butterflies, foxes, and alpine plants have moved farther north or to higher, cooler areas.

Precipitation (rain and snowfall) has increased across the globe, on average.

Some invasive species are thriving. For example, spruce bark beetles have boomed in Alaska thanks to 20 years of warm summers. The insects have chewed up 4 million acres of spruce trees

Other effects could take place later this century, if warming continues.

Sea levels are expected to rise between 7 and 23 inches (18 and 59 centimeters) by the end of the century, and continued melting at the poles could add between 4 and 8 inches (10 to 20 centimeters).

Hurricanes and other storms are likely to become stronger.

Floods and droughts will become more common. Rainfall in Ethiopia, where droughts are already common, could decline by 10 percent over the next 50 years.

Less fresh water will be available. If the Quelccaya ice cap in Peru continues to melt at its current rate, it will be gone by 2100, leaving thousands of people who rely on it for drinking water and electricity without a source of either.

Some diseases will spread, such as mosquito-borne malaria (and the 2016 resurgence of the Zika virus). Ecosystems will change: Some species will move farther north or become more successful; others won’t be able to move and could become extinct.

Wildlife research scientist Martyn Obbard has found that since the mid-1980s, with less ice on which to live and fish for food, polar bears have gotten considerably skinnier. Polar bear biologist Ian Stirling has found a similar pattern in Hudson Bay. He fears that if sea ice disappears, the polar bears will as well.

Deforestation can have a negative impact on the environment. The most dramatic impact is a loss of habitat for millions of species. Eighty percent of Earth’s land animals and plants live in forests, and many cannot survive the deforestation that destroys their homes. Deforestation also drives climate change. Forest soils are moist, but without protection from sun-blocking tree cover, they quickly dry out. Trees also help perpetuate the water cycle by returning water vapor to the atmosphere. Without trees to fill these roles, many former forest lands can quickly become barren deserts.Removing trees deprives the forest of portions of its canopy, which blocks the sun’s rays during the day, and holds in heat at night. This disruption leads to more extreme temperature swings that can be harmful to plants and animals.

If Man continues doing some of the activities in this video,
(1) How will this change the environment?

~It causes the carbon dioxide level to increase and this causes a rise in the earth's temperature causing global warming to occur.
~Lack of trees causes lesser water to be absorbed which means lesser water vapour is given out during evaporation. This causes lesser clouds to be formed which means that the atmosphere will not be as cool as it should be.This interrupts the process of precipitation.

(2) What will happen to the living things that are living there?
~Some of the endangered animals may lose their habitats, their home. This will cause a decrease in the number of the endangered species and the number of forest habitats left in the world as deforestation occurs faster than nature can replace the loss of trees.
~Another consequence will be some animals having a lack of food and maybe water.
~Deforestation also means more carbon dioxide and lesser oxygen in the surroundings which is harmful for all living things including us.
~This then leads to depletion of the ozone layer, causing more of the sun's heat to be trapped in the earth's atmosphere. This is one of the main things that cause global warming.

What are some ways that Man can help to reduce the negative impact on the environment?

~By practicing the 3 R's
~instead of clearing one whole path of land at once, we should practice selective and partial harvesting.
~We should also protect sensitive areas to the best of our ability
