In my environmental science class today, we watched the film "October Sky". I remember watching it in seventh grade as well, so I did know what was expected in this movie. In this movie, a group of four boys try to get creative by building a model rocket. The movie takes place in the coalyards of West Virginia in 1957. I like the whole story in this with the boys trying to accomplish something and some conflicts occurring (like one guy's father having an accident in the mines and the boys getting handcuffed for causing a fire from the rocket). I also like how they try to make this movie look like it's actually in the '50s with the swing music and clothing trends. My prediction at the end of the movie is that the boys will win the National Science Fair and come off great, because most movies I see have happy endings. Yes, this is a good film and I enjoy watching it in class.
