         <description><![CDATA[<div>Yes I change my vocabulary when talking to younger children because it is easier for them to understand words that are more basic and commonly known. I sometimes alter my sentence structure based on whether or not a child had trouble understanding me or not.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Yes. I change my vocabulary and I talk higher because they don't understand the vocabulary that a high school students uses. It is also easier to get your point across with younger children if you use simpler words that they are familiar with.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>When talking to younger kids I do find myself changing the way I speak. Talking to a child is much different than someone your age or an adult. I still talk to them as if they were an adult because I feel that helps them grow and makes them feel respected. I wont use harsh language or complicated words they wont understand and I will speak maybe higher or softer in tone.</div>]]></description>

They usually do not have the ability to understand or use big complicated words so I use easier more basic words instead. I teach pre-k at my church (or I guess taught) and if I gave the kids instructions using difficult vocabulary, they would likely not understand.</div>]]></description>

I tend to say simpler things to really young kids (like 2-5) but after that I just speak normally and explain if they ask what something means. That's how people always talked to me and I think it is why I had a broader vocabulary at a young age.</div>]]></description>
