I am taking this class because it is a required gen-ed class. This class sounded very interesting to me and I preferred to take this class over psychology because I have had enough of learning about psychology in the past and I needed something new and interesting to learn

I believe I bought a meal (burger, fries, and a drink) at Yosemite national park for my 13th birthday. this is specifically and oddly accurate because this when my parents said I was old enough to handle money and learn how to buy my own things, yet it was money they gave to me and not hard-earned money. I felt cool buying this because it made my 13 year old self feel rich and responsible lol. I was satisfied for a bit because it was food so yeah... the social pressure to eat in public was something I felt in that because I was starving and didn't want my parents to feel bad for me if I didn't eat

the food I tend to eat on a daily basis is chicken whether that's grilled or fried chicken, I also eat Mexican food. on an empirical level, I eat chicken based on my cravings and what I prefer more. on a normative level, this seems boring and needs to be switched up. a food that serves as a totem in my life would be chicken. I say this because I work at chick fil an and I tend to eat chicken a lot, regardless of work. the only meaning it serves for my sense of belonging to a particular group; is the fact that I work at a place that sells primarily chicken.
