I picked Oaxaca, Mexico. I picked this location because one day i want to visit for its colorful culture and many festivities. I'd also would like to visit Rio de Janeiro, Brazil to see Christ the redeemer statue.

I want to visit Apulia Italy because I love the warm weather in fall where weather is not too cold or not to hot,accompanied by beaches and historic buildings .

I would like to hike all National Parks in the U.S, and my next big one would be the grand canyon rim to rim trail. I would do the rim to rim, north to south route. I would turn this into a 2-3 day trek, with a 23.5 mile hike, and with a max elevation of 8,297 feet. I would like to walk through history and enjoy the great features the park has to offer.

I choose to visit Guatemala for this assignment. For one my Family is originally from Guatemala but I would love to visit and experience the tropical rainforest climate for myself. It is known to stay very warm all year round (due to it being close the equator) and tends to rain for 6 months out of the year. Guatemala is mostly full of hills and Volcanos.

I remember that the first time I knew about the existence of Aurora borealis was when I was 10 years old and I saw the Disney movie Brother Bear, my mother told me that those lights did exist, and I was fascinated by the idea of knowing more about them and It is a dream that I have had since then, during this module we learned that under certain conditions Aurora borealis are created, particles from the solar wind that are guided by the Earth's magnetic field and they contain oxygen molecules and nitrogen, when these elements are met, this causes them to gain an electron which when released, returns the acquired energy in the form of light and that is what we can appreciate. Knowing this information has increased my interest in visiting this place. I like cold weather and I know it would be a memorable experience.

My partner and myself skiing in Mesa, Colorado at Powderhorn Ski Resort. We met in Colorado, couple years prior to us making the move to California.

This was our first time skiing together for new years 2021 and we had a blast. Highly recommend trying skiing or snowboarding once!

I want to visit Guatemala City, Guatemala during the dry season which is from November to April. Guatemala is a beautiful country with a tropical climate with an average temp of around 75 Degrees F year round. Due to its tropical climate Guatemala is extremely green with beautiful rainforests and gorgeous mountain views. Due to the geographical location of this country, in the dead center of many Latin country's, Guatemala has become a melting pot of amazing Latin dishes and foods.

Hanoi is considered a tropical climate and I would love to one day visit due to the lush landscape that surrounds the city.

I would love to visit Hawaii, especially the Kau coast, Punaluu Black Sand Beach Located in the southeast of the island, it is one of the best-known beaches in Hawaii and is famous for its black sand and vegetation. One of the rarest species of turtles lives there, it is called the hawkbill turtle. I find it very interesting that the sand is this color due to the volcanic activity in the area.

The climate is Marine West Coast. The Pacific Northwest is beautiful during fall season. I would love to visit the park since I love to hike and to hike MT. Rainer again during the fall since Low clouds, fog, and drizzle are typical.

I would like to visit Alaska to experience the extreme cold weather.

I would like to visit Tulum because the beaches they have are really nice and their water is so clear. I want to travel all along the coast and visit as many places as I can in Mexico, before I start traveling to other countries. I have been to La Paz and I fell in love with everything they had there and made me want to go visit other cities with clear waters.

The place I would like to visit is Bora Bora Island in French Polynesia, my favorite season of the year is summer and I love spending summer on the beach. Bora Bora has a tropical maritime climate with two seasons during the year, summer and winter. In summer the climate is tropical humid and in winter tropical dry. I would love to visit the island in both seasons and live the experience of being in a very tropical winter.

I would like to visit Angel Falls in Venezuela because it is the biggest waterfall in the world. The waterfall drops 3,212 feet and is about 500 feet wide. The waterfall flows from the top of Auyan-Teui mountain. I would to visit here because I had done a project on Venezuela in a previous class and after learning so much about it, it would be really interesting to go see.

The golden sand and the sea is what I really more interested in, the fact that 2 sea currents clash on a single point is something amazing and at the same time scary since is cold from the pacific and warm from Baja Gulf ( Hurricanes)

"I want to visit Tokyo, Japan during spring when the cherry blossoms bloom because I love the idea of walking under those beautiful pink flowers. Tokyo's weather is just right during this time – not too hot or too cold. Plus, it's cool to know that Tokyo is on the coast of Japan's biggest island, Honshu, which means it gets some wild storms called typhoons in the summer. But in spring, it's all about those cherry blossoms, and I can't wait to see them!"

I chose Iceland because of its distinct seasonal variations and unique weather patterns. Also, the northern lights.

I would love to visit Palawan due to how clear and blue the water is. Also, the best time to go swim in the sea is in April when the average temperature is 30 degrees C.

A location I'd like to visit in the future is Trois-Riviere in Canada for the atmopshere it emits. I would have never thought very much of a city in Canada, but after having done research for some writing I was doing it really caught my attention. Parc Portuaire in particular; the area really caught my eye and the lighthouse in that port looks lovely!

I want to visit this location because I have been in the past and the climate zone it's amazing, except because of the hurricanes, but I love this place, everything is beautiful.

Somewhere I would like to travel to is Boracay because of the diverse ecosystems and tropical climate. Although there is typhoons during the wet season, during the dry season (from December to May) the weather is ideal ranging between mid-70s to 90s Fahrenheit. The island is beautiful and one could enjoy many activities like snorkeling, jet skiing, swimming, and of course lounging at the beach.

I picked Switzerland for multiple reasons, but if we are talking geographically we have to agree that it is stunning. The landscape, the hills, the lakes, rivers, the trees, there so much green areas, the snow, the mountains, geographically it has everything.

I want to visit Santorini, Greece because I want to visit a new place with a Mediterranean climate. Santorini has warm summers perfect to take walks with someone you love.

I want to visit Jamaica for its warm tropical climate and stunning natural landscapes, which include white sandy beaches, crystal-clear waters, and the Blue Mountains, known for their height and cooler climate. The island has diverse geography, with tropical forests, coral reefs, and a mountainous system that offers a wide variety of ecosystems. Its climate is influenced by the warm ocean currents of the Caribbean, creating the perfect environment to enjoy outdoor activities, explore the island's unique biodiversity, and relax in a spectacular natural setting.

I would like to visit Crema, Italy during the summer especially during the summer when it is hot and humid. Especially with the Sedimentary deposits shows all the lakes and ancient rivers that would be incredible to swim in during the summer. During the summer there are also thunderstorms that I personally would believe that makes the place more beautiful as it is. With the scenic views, rivers, lakes, and mountains.

One of my favorite places to visit is Albuquerque New Mexico as my family lives there but I also love the wide variety of weather experiences you can have there. For one it snows in New Mexico while also being extremely hot in the summer, so you don't miss out on any experiences.

I will like to visit Bali specially during the dry season which takes place from April to October. During this season it is around 80 degrees fahrenheit meaning that there will be a lot of sunshine making it perfect for any beach activities.

Bali has different volcanos, the most famous is Mount Agung. It is located in the northeastern part of Bali. This volcano is the island's highest peak standing at 10,308 feet above sea level. Mount Agung is one of the most active volcanos in Indonesia with very highly explosive eruptions.

I want to visit Bali because it has a warm, tropical climate with a rainy season and a dry season. It would be cool to see how the monsoon winds bring heavy rain at certain times of the year. The volcanoes, rainforests, and beaches in Bali are all shaped by its climate, making it a great place to explore.

Although it has a cold semi-arid climate with a high elevation, I love to visit Zacatecas because of its rich culture and history. With such high elevation this I can explore old mining caves, ride the cablecars in the air, and walk up beautifully painted stairs in the city center.

I will like to visit Sydney, Australia during the month of December because it is very humid and enjoy the sunny and warm weather at Milk Beach. I would love to visit Curacao someday because of its beautiful beaches and very interesting history. Curacao has a more humid temperature throughout the year, and because of low rain in the summer , it would be perfect to visit. The island of curacao also has many interesting features such as hot springs and other mineral resources that would welcome a wonderful time in the water to relax and unwind.

As for travel inspiration from this course, learning about plate tectonics and geological phenomena has definitely inspired me to visit places with some unique geological features. For example, seeing the volcanic scenery of Iceland or the tectonically sculpted mountain ranges, such as the Himalayas would provide a wonderful experience.

I recently visited Osaka, Japan, and it was a humid subtropical climate zone with hot, rainy summers and mild winters. The mix of warm, moist air from the Pacific Ocean and seasonal monsoon rains creates a lush, green environment. I loved the experience of the rainy season and see how the city adapts to its weather patterns, from summer thunderstorms to cooler breezes in autumn.

I’ve always wanted to visit the Serengeti to see its amazing wildlife and open grasslands. I’d love to go during the rainy season when everything turns green and the big animal migrations are happening.
The Serengeti is part of a savanna climate zone, which means it has a wet and dry season. It’s known for its wide grassy plains, scattered acacia trees, and a huge variety of animals. The climate and landscape make it one of the most unique ecosystems on Earth.

I want to visit Vatnajökull National Park in Iceland because it features Europe’s largest glacier and is surrounded by active volcanoes, which creates a dramatic and ever-changing landscape. The subarctic climate means icy glaciers meet geothermal hot springs, which I find interesting. I’d especially love to hike on the glacier and see ice caves formed by glacial movement. I would love to visit the Sahara Desert, it is in the dry zone, it has extremely hot summers and cold winter nights. The lack of water here and direct sunlight produce this heat. I would love to experience this type of extreme heat and weathers.

I want to visit the Altai Mountains in Mongolia because their subarctic/boreal (microthermal) climate creates long, intensely cold winters and short, cool summers. This region is far inland, so it lacks the moderating influence of oceans, which is why the temperature can drop so sharply. Even in summer, the highs stay mild because of the high elevation.

I want to visit Socotra Island in Yemen, which has a hot desert climate but is also influenced by the seasonal monsoon winds. Its isolation and dry conditions created some of the strangest plants on Earth, like the Dragon’s Blood Tree, which survives by storing water in its trunk because rainfall is so limited. We’ve learned how desert climates shape vegetation, and Socotra is one of the best examples of how plants adapt to intense heat and low moisture. I’d love to see how life evolves in such a harsh, unique climate zone.

I want to visit Costa Rica to explore its tropical rain forest climate. I' am especially interested in visiting during the rainy season because I love seeing how heavy rainfall supports the lush vegetation, rivers, and diverse wildlife.

I would like to see the northern lights one day. Last week, I learned that solar winds coming in contact with our atmosphere is a key contributing factor to why the northern lights happen. The northern lights are both interesting and beautiful.

I would also like to visit the city and its surrounding areas to learn about its rich culture and experience the sacred lands where our Lord Jesus Christ grew up. Visiting this region would be a meaningful and spiritual journey for me, while also allowing me to better understand how physical geography and climate have shaped its history.

I want to visit the beautiful mountains of the Himalayas because of its beautiful sights and cute wild life that lives in the location. The Himalayan mountains are the worlds highest mountain range that is home to Mount Everest and home to the Himalayan marmots of the region.

I would like to visit Pico de Orizaba in Veracruz because it has an alpine climate zone that is completely different from the coastal and desert climates I am used to. At over 5,600 meters in elevation, temperatures decrease significantly due to the environmental lapse rate, and the mountain even has permanent snow and glacial ice near the summit. The extreme elevation creates strong vertical climate changes, where warm lower elevations transition into freezing alpine conditions. I am interested in experiencing how altitude, atmospheric pressure, and temperature interact in such a dramatic physical environment.

Part of my family is native to this part of Mexico. I personally have never been, but from what I’ve been told the weather is super nice and is super deep into culture. The weather usually matches up with the seasons so in the spring or early summer, it’s usually warm and dry, In the summer, it’s warm and most of the rainfall is during this time of year, in fall it’s dry but nice, And in winter, there’s cool nights mostly dry condition. It has some on the largest plant parks in Mexico; like Parque Tamgmanga, San Luis Potosí Bicentennial Park, Centro Histórico park and ext. Most of these parks have lakes, botanical areas, plenty of trees and walking paths for the public to use.

I would like to visit the Amazon Rainforest because it is in the Tropical Rainforest (Af) climate zone near the Equator. The region experiences high temperatures and heavy rainfall year round due to the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ), where warm, moist air rises and creates daily thunderstorms. I would love to experience the hot, humid climate that supports one of the most biodiverse ecosystems in the world.

Hi Everyone! I chose my location as Guanajuato because I was fortunate enough to have been able to visit it, and I hope to be able to revisit it in the future. I was left amazed by its significant history in Mexico's Independence. Along with its beautiful architecture, scenery, and markets, that make you feel at home. My favorite part was on the weirder side, hearing the myths and ghost stories of the spirits who roamed the tunnels and streets, the mummies found in perfect condition, while others weren’t. The delicious street food, the weather, and the tours full of wonderful people and many friendships made along the way. If I could return or go anywhere, I would, with all my heart, choose to return to Guanajuato.

One of the main reasons I want to visit this location is because of the glacier Perito Moreno, and the amazing landscape behind, where Mount Fitz Roy can be seen, such as Lake Argentino. It looks beatiful. This region has low average temperatures and significant snowfall, which allows massive glaciers like the Perito Moreno Glacier to exist. The park is also located near the Andes Mountains, where orographic lifting increases precipitation on the western side, helping maintain the ice fields. I will visit one day.

I would love to visit Mount Fuji for its beautiful views, hiking opportunities, and the nearby Fuji Five Lakes. Climbing the mountain and seeing the sunrise from the top would be an amazing experience. I also like the fact that the climate changes as you go higher, from mild forests at the base to the cold alpine conditions at the summit. The mix of nature, scenery, and symbolism of Mount Fuji is one of the main reasons why I would really like to see it one day.
