Students Promoting Safe Schools
The ESP program recognizes that students themselves know best what safety issues are
present in their schools. With the assistance of their staff advisors and district school
resource officers, students are empowered to plan, organize and execute year-long
safety initiatives in their school and local community.

Students are empowered to take the necessary steps or actions to solve problems
specific to their school with the option of utilizing programs or guest speakers
available to them through the school resource officer at their school.

Partnerships are student-led between York Regional Police, the York Region
