         <description><![CDATA[<div>Fridrich Reinhold Kreutzwald died on <strong>25th August in 1882</strong> in Tartu. He was 78 years old when he died. He was burried in Vana-Jaani Cemetery in Tartu.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Kreutzwald has written about 20 books. Most of his stories were first published as follow-up stories in the newspapers and collected into complete books by other people.<br><br>His first book was <strong>"Wina-katk" </strong>(The Plague of Vodka) (1840). With this book he tried to stop people (mostly peasants) from drinking. <br><br>His most famous book is <strong>"Kalevipoeg"</strong> (Kalev`s Son) (1857-1861). It became our national epic.<br><br>He has translated many German fairy tales for&nbsp; Estonian children. He also collected local stories. Today you can find them all in a book called <strong>"Eesti rahva ennemuistsed jutud</strong>" (1866).<br>Many of his fairy tales have animal characters. The most famous of them is <strong>Reinuvader Rebane</strong> (Rein the Fox). The book has also been named after him. (1847, 1848)<br><br>He also tried to teach Estonain peasants not to bee foolsih. Based on the examples of stupidity, he wrote the book with a series of stories about <strong>"Kilplased"</strong> (1857).<br><br>His articles on health issues have been published under the title <strong>"Kodutohter"</strong> (Doctor at home) in 1879.<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>His original name was Vidri Rein Ristmets. He changed his name in 1818 to Freidrich Reinhold Kreutzwald buecause he wanted to study in university but no Estonians could go to university at that time. Good education was only for the rich Germans ruling the country at that time.</div>]]></description>
