Because my product is an app, consumers of my product will need access to technology like a smartphone/smart device. 81% of Americans own a smartphone.

7:21am: Education and Gender
 A study done in 47 countries showed that the more education someone has, the more likely they were to show concern about the environment. So I made my person of college level education. Studies done on to see which gender has more environmental knowledge and concern have shown men to be more knowledgeable on climate change. But, women are more at risk of harm from climate change and are more concerned about the effects. So I made the person female.

7:48am: Environmental Consciousness
My app is all about bettering the environment and changing little habits in the users own life that will make them more eco-friendly. Someone who is conscious of the condition the environment is in, is more likely to make changes to their own habits.

8:50am: Age
People on the Generation Z and Millennial age range are the ones making the biggest change on the environment right now. To create my target age range I took the older end of generation z and the younger end of the millennial generation because the younger end of Gen Z is fairly young and most likely wouldn't be inclined to use this app.

9:00am: Location
I want my consumer to live somewhere where there are green programs but they may not be working, or there might not be enough. Like in my example, the person lives in New York City. While New York has many great programs to keep it clean, you can still see mounds of garbage as you walk the streets.

10:03 am:Political Affiliation
My target market aims for those who are more left-winged because they are more likely to show concern and ergence about the environment. Even though in recent years younger people who identify with the republican party have shown more concern about the environment, they are still greatly outweighed by those with democratic views. 

3:26 pm: Race 
Race doesn't take part in my target market. Typically environmentalist are stereotyped as caucasian but studies have shown that people of all races care the same amount, if not more about the environment
