         <description><![CDATA[<div>Grade: 6-8<br><br>Activity: Perspective taking refers to a person’s ability to consider a scene or situation from a different point of view. It requires putting yourself in the other person’s position and imagining what you might feel, think, or do if you were in that situation.<br><br>One super simple way to begin to teach perspective is to actually have kids put themselves in someone else’s place. Ask two students to sit in chairs facing one another and take turns describing three to five things they see directly behind the other student.<br><br>What draws each student’s attention will depend on their own unique experience and perspective of the room. For example, one student might see a drawing on the white board and a stack of books, while another student may notice a row of computers and a bucket of balls.<br><br>Next, have the students get up and switch chairs. Once they change places, the students can see the scene from the other student’s perspective.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

The facilitator chooses one person (or small group) to begin the game.&nbsp;<br><br>2. On your turn, take one scenario card off the top of your scenario deck and read it aloud. If the scenario has been read before, select the next scenario card in your pile and read it aloud.&nbsp;<br><br>3. After each scenario is read, the larger group decides which category/subcategory the scenario best describes. In some cases, the group may decide that there is no “best fit” and the scenario fits more than one category/subcategory. If the group cannot come to a consensus, the facilitator makes the final decision.<br><br>&nbsp;4. If a player (or small group) has the category/subcategory on their bingo card, they may place a marker on that place.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>
