At the time, I found my writing to be quite slow and lacking in detail. I struggled to clearly express my ideas and structure my responses effectively. My analysis was quite basic, and I found it hard to fully develop my points. Reflecting on it now, I realise I needed to include more evidence and explanation to show a deeper understanding of Juliet’s character. This is something I’m working on by planning my answers more thoroughly and practising writing with better flow.

At the time, I felt my writing on poetry was quite slow and lacked detail. I found it difficult to clearly explain my ideas and structure my analysis. I didn’t explore the meaning of the poems deeply enough, and my points needed more evidence and explanation. Looking back, I can see that I needed to focus more on the poet’s language and techniques. I’m now working on improving this by planning more carefully and writing with more fluency and depth.

descriptive writing

When I look back at my descriptive writing, I think it was a bit slow and didn’t have enough detail. I found it hard to explain what I was imagining and make it sound clear. My writing didn’t always paint a strong picture for the reader. I also needed to use more interesting words and describe things better. Now I’m trying to plan my ideas more and use better vocabulary to make my writing more exciting and easier to understand.

Narrative writing

When I look back at my narrative writing, I think the storyline wasn’t always clear or well-developed. Sometimes it was hard to keep the events in order or make the plot interesting for the reader. I also found it difficult to build tension or create strong characters that felt realistic. My writing could have used more emotion and detail to help the reader connect with what was happening. Now I’m working on planning my stories more carefully, using a clear structure, and adding more depth to my characters and settings to make my writing more engaging.

Year 9 has been a journey of growth and self-discovery for me. At the beginning of the year, I felt a mix of excitement and nervousness about the challenges ahead. As the months passed, I became more confident in my abilities and learned to manage my time effectively. Making new friends and participating in group projects helped me improve my communication skills and taught me the value of teamwork. There were moments of stress, especially during exams, but each challenge taught me resilience and perseverance. Looking back, I'm proud of how much I've grown academically and personally during this year.

While working on this piece, I demonstrated the ACP of Hard Working by completing all the formulas by myself without help. The VAA I showed in this work was Perseverance because I kept going even when the tasks were difficult. I made sure I understood each formula and didn’t give up. This helped me feel proud of my work and more confident using spreadsheets.

While working on this piece, I demonstrated the ACP of Analysing by carefully checking each formula to make sure it worked correctly. The VAA I showed in this work was Agile because I adapted quickly when something didn’t work and tried a different method. This helped me finish the task successfully and improve my understanding.
