Would be good if there’s an logo animation for next week sharing with grad show community
Make sure they understand the big idea
Make it convincing and sell the ideas

Why origin? (Qns that might be asked)
Photography styles, interesting lighting styles, must link back to origin idea
Design fundamentals, a lot of points, join lines, everything start off from a point, an origin
Primary colours, how it mix together with other millions of colours, RGB, colour scheme

Maybe go for “begin” instead of “beginning”
Don’t go towards the books idea, no relationship between books and design

Ambitious? Stroke that is going out, if we can put all the students tgt, and the strokes can form out words it would be interesting

Think of a good story, how are you going to sell?
Nyp is a transit, never a starting or ending point, student move on to better roles
Play around a certain grid of transition, certain words can form together, certain words can change to another word / diploma

Circle as a starting point can link to design fundamentals, and primary colours

Origin: has a nice ring but dunno whether ppl will link to vampire. Can talk about the primary colours first and mix together to make millions of colours

Beginning: not forceful enough abit weak, maybe consider just “begin”, avoid going towards the book idea, can use the idea of the starting point, that photo style is called dual tone and is easy to adapt, like the idea of the splash, seeing in a new light, a new beginning, the pics when compiled could have the strokes making up a word or something
Transition: glitch idea maybe not, cuz implies something wrong, also have to think of a good story, could be a nice term depending how you sell it, can play with the positioning or font, certain words can change to another course or diploma like the airport board thingies.

Start with the big idea when presenting first, in like 2-3 sentences

If have more time try to have some mock ups, like a simple animation

He likes the paint one, it's more achievable. Single paint colour so not too difficult to achieve. Double exp is interesting too but more work needs to be done. For photography, it needs to link back to the original concept, whichever one we pick. For example, double exp doesn't link well to solari board.

Alan: Both are good themes, he feels that we have the strongest concept. It's exactly what the directorate want from us. When move on to talk about genesis, he really bought it. Genesis ties in very nicely. Genesis might be one that they will consider. He also would go for Genesis. Transition is good concept but abit too literal. If you can find another term that hints at it instead of being so direct, it would be good.
