He is saying how we just lucky, but he actually did something pretty impressive. 

Omission- 

1. When he talks about Columbus meeting the Arawaks, he doesn’t say that Columbus gave the tribe small gifts. 

 2.He also doesn’t include that many of the Arawaks died from epidemics of smallpox, influenza, and measles. It wasn’t all Columbus and his crew. 

3.He also leaves out that he was doing all the conquering and receiving gold for Spain, not just himself. Also, he was spreading the religion of Christianity.
