Koalas;

Koala's are marsupials, Koalas do not live in rainforests or deserts, but they live in the tall eucalypt forests and low eucalypt woodlands of mainland eastern Australia, and on some islands off the southern and eastern coasts. They have to live on those kind of trees because they can only feed on eucalyptus leaves and no others. They spend most their lives on trees and have features which can help them survive on trees, the Koala's paws are specially adapted for gripping and climbing. Rough pads on the palms and soles help it to grip tree trunks and branches, and both front and hind paws have long sharp claws, and all these features help them. Koalas spend 10% of their day eating and the other 90% sleeping, they conserve a lot of energy and when diseases and fires were going around, koalas were all over the place so most of them are not in the wild but are in conservation places and hospitals. Overall koalas are going extinct and people in Australia are trying their best to protect the currently endangered species which are the Koalas.
