The main conflict in this story is the texting game; Truth Or Dare. It is where an anonymous texter texts a person from Bay View High and they either chose Truth Or Dare. if they do dare then nothing happens but if they chose truth then the texter reveals a secret. Also, if they don't respond within 24 hours than the texter reveals a secret. So far this conflict has been a big part in the story because it ruined friendships, families, and hurt many people. There are also many smaller conflicts in the story like a kid passing away, a father dying, someone losing their job, and many other things that just affect one character because in this story there are many different point of views.

An interesting topic in my book so far is the Truth Or Dare game. The whole story has been revolving around it for the past 150 pages. It is an anonymous texter that reveals secrets or gives dares to people. It has impacted the story substantially because it has ruined friendships, made families grow apart, and just now has caused death. The suspicion around this, is that no one knows who runs it and it has progressively gotten worse over time. I really want to know who runs it because it would solve many problems and we would be able to find out how the person is getting the secrets from people.

I've only heard from Knox and Maeves perspectives for the past couple "chapters" but they are talking about Phoebe and have been saying that she is doing good and is being a great friend.

The Reading Response Question that I chose to write about was reviewing the book so far. If I had to give a review on this book I would give it a 5/5. The topic is so interesting if you love mystery like me. The story line keeps you intrigued throughout the whole book and I love that there are multiple perspectives because you get to see the story from so many different views and you get to see so many different lifestyles that you wouldn't see in a book that has one main character. Each character plays such a huge part in the book and you never know what is going to happen. I would definitely recommend this book to everyone I know.

I can relate to all of them in different parts of the story because they all are teenagers that go through many things. They definitely are authentic and believable because they're showing their point of views and saying everything that goes on in their lives. In this story there are more mirrors than windows and I think this because they're all teenagers and I can relate to them because we're close and age and at this age we all go through similar things with friends and family.

She thought it was her and she thought she was alive but it was a voice recording sent from someone else. She watched it and it gave her clues to what can help find out what happened to Rachel. This is affecting the plot because everyone thought Rachel was dead and they thought the case of her death was going to go cold because it was just a drive by. The video that was sent to Jaycee could've helped the case but Rachel specifically said not to go to the cops because they can't be trusted. This brought a lot of suspicion to Jaycee and it made her confused because she thought the cops could be trusted.

Tell me about the conflict of the book. Are there many conflicts or one main conflict? Does the conflict affect the characters or plot? How? - The main conflict in the book is Rachel; Jaycee's friend passing away. This has been a big part of the story because before Rachel died she made a video with clues to help Jaycee find out what happened. Now Jaycee is going through so much to try and find out what happened to her friend. There are some other mini conflicts in the story like her having to choose between two boys, her breaking her ankle, and he getting threatened which I feel will turn into a big conflict later on. The conflict definitely affects the characters and plot because the conflict is the main part of the the story. Jaycee used to mind her own business and stick to her fathers rules but with the clues shes been given she's been doing things that her father doesn't approve of and shes been putting herself in danger.

Jaycee remembered about a cross that Rachel and her had in elementary school and she went to go look for it. It was in the fireplace back in their old school and when Jaycee got there other people were looking for things too. She didn't think anything of it but she thought back to the video and she got back to the part where Rachel said "The answer is in the cross." She pried the cross open and there was a note that said "making the cut" Jaycee didn't know what that meant but she had to figure it out. This was the first turning point in the story that really tested how Jaycee would deal with the clues and the "scavenger hunt" that Rachel has set out for her. This also showed how much Rachel trusted Jaycee because they weren't friends at the time of Rachel's death but she is literally putting her life on the line and is trusting Jaycee to find out what really happened.

Jaycee was with her "boyfriends" brother which caused a little problem but that's not what helped her out. she found out that Rachel had a class with Evan Cross (who she used to liked) and she figured out that they worked on a project together. She said she needed to find out what the project was on so it could help her out. This affected the plot and characters because Jaycee felt betrayed. Rachel knew that Jaycee like Evan but she still worked on a project with him and Rachel didn't tell her. She couldn't worry about that though because there were bigger problems. There had to be a reason that she would put Evan front and center on her project and this affected the plot bu Jaycee having doubts about who the Cross family really is.

Jaycee took advantage of this moment and went up to Rachel's room which was trespassing but she didn't care.

The book Dead Girls Don't Lie is definitely in my top 3 favorite books. Each chapter leaves you wanting to read more. So many new things and people come into the story and you don't know whats going to happen. There are so many plot twists and the unexpected happens. It's about a girl named Jaycee who received a text from her ex-best friend, Rachel, and they weren't on the best terms when she passed away. The only thing that Jaycee has left of her was that text she sent before she passed away. Jaycee used that text to her advantage and started digging into anything and everything that could be connected to her death to try to bring the terror to an end. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who loves mystery and to anyone who loves new things happening in the blink of an eye.

I just started reading "sadie" but it is already an interesting book. It starts of with a 13-year old girl being found dead by a school house and an apple orchard. The case goes cold because the fire ruined all of the evidence and took away any chance of there being DNA left at the scene. There were people from a podcast interviewing citizens from small towns when they heard about the murder, they didn't think anything of it though because we live in a world with many tragedies and it's hard to avoid them all. 3 months later the people from the podcast are back in New York doing their jobs when one of them gets a call about a missing teen. They were just going to ignore it but then they realized it was Sadie Hunter, the sister of the girl who passes away. They don't think it could be a coincidence so now they're trying to help the community.

Reading Response Question 3 is asking if the narrator's in this story are authentic and believable. I think yes and no. There is more than one narrator in this book and they're all different. The two main narrators are West McCray; a popular radio personality, and Sadie Hunter; a teenage girl from Cold Creek who lost her sister. I think that West is more reliable in this story because she has no reason to be bias unlike Sadie. West is just trying to get to the bottom of Sadie's disappearance and to make a podcast out of it. Sadie on the other hand has many reasons to be bias. Her sister was killed by a man who got away and now she's trying to find him. Her actions could be portrayed by the anger she has kept inside of her and it could cause her to do and say some questionable things that aren't very reliable. In this book there are definitely more window scenes than mirrors. I can't relate to losing my sister, or having a mom that chose drugs over me, or having my dad leave at a young age, or having to care for a sibling. This makes it hard to relate to the story but it also teaches me about how Sadie has to live.

The author has created a lot of suspense by the way she changes perspectives. Whenever something happens to Sadie the author changes perspectives back to May Beth or West to create suspense. The author adds flashbacks to see how Sadie's life was before everything crazy happened and it shows how she's grown and why she's doing the things she's doing. The dialogue Courtney Summers uses is really cool. She sues like a question and answer type system to show how everyone in Cold Creek is taking in Sadie's disappearance.

The main conflict in this story is Sadie. She left her home in Cold Creek to try to find the man that killed her sister which she believes is her father. She has a hard time communicating with people because she has a stutter so people don't take her seriously and they view her as a kid even though she's almost 20.

Sadie has found someone that knows her father. Marlee has known him for a long time because her brother was friends with Sadie's father. Even though they were many years apart they still were close. After high school they didn't see each other much but they reconnected after many years and they ended up living with each other for awhile. Marlee thought that he had changed but he never did. He just got better at hiding who he really was. Sadie really needs help to find her father and she thought Marlee was the one to help her but she isn't doing much because she doesn't want to get involved with anything because she has a kid now. But Sadie is still trying to get something useful out of her.
