I think there's a lot of positives to technology in education but it's also kind of scary to think that as a teacher you have run all these new programs. In the video of the future classrooms I was fascinated with the projector like computers because it eliminates students going on the wrong cites. Also I think 3D models will help future students be moved involved kinetically activating their brain more then just listening to the lectures and words their teachers say. I would really like to see how technology like that could effect kindergarten classrooms and what positives would come out with 5 year olds playing with air.

Some things that came to my mind as future educators were all the different technology that is invented now but just too expensive to get into the public schools. I think it would be really nice to have those things although I am a very visual person and like to have stuff in front of me. I think that the technology is a very neat idea because again it is getting farther away from the pen and paper mode and even far away from computers and ipads. It's a lot more convenient for the students to use when it's right there in the classroom and hands on things and even for the teachers also.

Video 1: I find it interesting that some countries are moving towards online textbooks rather than physical books. They use the excuse that these online textbooks allow students to study anywhere, but I feel that it would actually cause problems with studying, for most online books require internet access, something that is not available everywhere, even here in the 21st Century, also, if the tablet or laptop that the student was using to access their book was to break or have technical issues, the student can't use the text. Having a textbook on a computer also allows for distraction, since students are able to switch over to their social media account from the textbook in just one click. To me, "old-fashioned" textbooks are still the way to go in the 21st century, for every aspect of education doesn't need to be paired with technology. -Bre Dobesh

It would allow students to use devices while learning rather than be lectured at which may enhance attention span and learning. I can also see the difficulties of having technology though. Older teachers may not want to learn how to use the technology. Also some students may abuse the use of technology. Regardless, it will be definitely be a learning experience for everyone.

Compared to the technology educators have had access to in the past, we have so many new opportunities to help teachers and students to get even further in education. I personally am looking forward to the new technology that will come in the future and the opportunities it will provide for students and teachers. The videos made me excited to learn more about technology through this class.

It is exciting to think of all the possibilities that can happen with that kind of technology. Shouldn't students be able to think without technology?

I like technology, but it is almost scary. I think if it gets too far people and students will start to loose value of communication face to face. It is great for saving paper, and economical uses, but there should probably be a limit to how much should be done through technology. I would never want to see the day where kids did not even know how to write cursive or use paper and pencil. Technology has come so far in a very short amount of time and that's pretty incredible for teachers, doctors and more. I am excited to see how we can keep using technology to benefit students, but I also hope we never have to forget how to do the simple things.

What would happen to face to face communication, what would happen to the kid to teacher learning stuff. Would we have to opportunity to teach the children the way we want to, or would it always have to involve technology.

Teachers teach kids to read, do math, do all these different things, but are somehow not appreciated enough. Teachers do not get paid enough for all the work they do. As a future teacher, I do worry about people not taking my job as important as theirs.

The video about the future classroom was very interesting to me. I believe that installing technology like that in the classroom will be a big challenge for present educators. I think one of the biggest problems facing the education department today is admin/educators unwillingness to explore different ways to instruct their students. Having a system of technology like that in schools would be a big change, and not just for the students. I also don't know how beneficial it would actually be to bring all that technology to the classroom. During high school and into college I've learned how all students are different, and not all of them learn in the same way (some are visual, some are audio, some are kinesthetic etc). So my biggest question for "The Future Classroom" is if it will benefit only one type of learner, or find a way to benefit all of them.

I found it was a tad bit intimidating to believe that we as educators are forced to keep up to date with today's technology. Though very enticing and probably entertaining for today's youth, I feel as though this could become very distracting and even destructive to the learning environment. I think that we should certainly integrate technology into the classrooms and fill the minds of our students with what the rest of the world is relying on, but I fear the possible outcomes of what it could mean for our future students.

I think that using technology in the classroom is very important. It allows students to access more knowledge and expand what they already know. Technology is a huge part of today's society and there is no running from it, so why not use it in a positive way.

I think all this technology will be very great to have. We just need to use it for the right reasons, and I believe that we will. I'm really curious to see how long it will be until it actually is in the classrooms. I hope I get to witness it someday
