Saudi traditional music is quite limited, though. The migratory lifestyle of the people is minimal baggage, including musical instruments. Music, however, is considered "sinful" or "haram" by some Muslims, Some Muslims also believe it is sinful for songs to make any mention of women and for women to be involved in the making of music. Dance is popular in Saudi.The national dance is the men’s sword dance known as the ardha. An old tradition with its roots in the country’s central area known as the Najd, the ardha is a mixtures of singers, dancers carrying swords and a poet or narrator.
