-This bible verse is a representation of my faith journey because it focuses in on what I think the core values of my faith are. I believe that all people should be treated equally and fairly, so this verse reminds me of that, as well as to always love as much as we would like to be loved, and to never forget that God, or whatever you believe in, will always be there with you as long as you choose to have it there. This verse also was the motto of my elementary school, where my faith was first instilled in me. People have always told me that I looked so much like her when she was younger, so I've always shared that with her, but we also have very similar personalities. Aside from that though, she has the strongest belief in God that I've ever seen. Growing up in a Hispanic culture, my faith was always just a thing that was there. I didn't really have a choice in what I believed in, so finding a direct connection between me and God was difficult. But seeing how confident and sure my grandma is in her faith is really inspiring, and has helped me understand why it is important to have some faith placed in another object, or person.

-I read this book when I was in sixth grade, which was probably the most perfect time for me to read it considering it was the height of my awkward stage. I felt so weird and so uncomfortable in my own skin, that I would often go home crying and stressed because I was so confused on way I was feeling like this. I eventually decided to read this book on a complete whim. This book is about a girl who goes to Ireland on an exchange program after her brother had just died. She is a violinist, and has the capability of using this talent to help her get into a really great college, but she has been struggling in playing it because of the recent lose in her life. The book is about a girl’s struggle in her faith, and her trying to find a way out of the the deep hole that she has been buried in, which in reality helped me dig myself out of my own, small hole, and eventually become the person that I am today.

This song was part of the soundtrack to "The Fault in Our Stars" movie, which is one of my favorite books and movies in the entire world. I think that it can perfectly describe a lot of people's feelings on God in that it touches on the struggles that many people face in finding a direct pull into a faith, and the feeling of being lost and trying to be found. My favorite lines from this song are...

They have stood by me even when I definitely didn't deserve it, and they push me to want to be a better person. My friends are the people can talk to about anything, and I know they would never judge me. Although I love all my friends dearly, I have a special place in my heart for my best friend Gabi MiIler. She has been my closest friend since I can remember, and she means the world to me. We have had very few downs in our roller coaster of friendship, which makes our friendship so effortless and easy. She has influenced me so much as a person because she is so kind and selfless and always considers everyone's feelings before she does anything.
